Appointmoor Estates

After spending many months looking for a suitable apartment for a long term (eg: 3 years or more) tenancy I thought I'd found one through Appointmoor. After viewing it in person it was clear the apartment had lots of wear and tear (badly needed re-painting, fridge bulb missing, bathroom grouting crumbling, kitchen cupboard door off its hinge and other odd jobs) so agreed with the agent this would all be fixed prior to moving in. Incidentally, to show our commitment we offered not only the rental deposit but 3 or 6 months rent upfront.

The landlord opted for 6 months so a bank payment was made. On moving day not one of the promised jobs had been done. Appointmoor then claimed we accepted the flat in its undecorated state and nothing more would be done. So my advice is to think long and hard if you want to deal with that level of unprofessionalism. Sadly, it's not enough these days to verbally trust agents like that. Luckily, the apartment inventory which was done independently plus time stamped photos will ensure we at least get the deposit after the minimum term. The inventory also promises some work to be done after the moving in date so that will be watched with interest.

Helped me to rent my first flat in westcliff-on-sea, Appointmoor were willing to help with any issues with the property, and were fair and timely with my deposit return.

Appointmoor acted for the vendors of a house we were buying during a recent house move (August 2021). At a time when solicitors were overwhelmed and at times unresponsive, they could always be relied on to respond to my queries and help to move matters along in a very busy property market. The lettings team have been amazing from start to finish. Nothing has been too much trouble. Very professional and helpful in every way. Best day of my life leaving Appointmoor Estates! Our flat had a falling down bay extension, rotten floor boards, danergously high electricity, a broken boiler that NEVER had a gas safe check (they said someone can to do it, funny that as the dates they said they came were when we were all locked in in lockdown!), leaks left right and centre and Appointmoor did nothing!

I had to threaten to take the landlord and Appointmoor to court for them to do anything! The icing on the cake: they asked for bank details and meter readings to pay our deposit back. Over two months post evacuation of the property and still no deposit as they said they don't have our bank details! In other words STAY CLEAR!

Fully supported our home move with ease, including special requests, throughout the whole process and especially during what must have been a ludicrously busy time for the whole industry. Very professional service with a smile

Estate agents with zero compassion.com I put down a deposit on a flat which later fell through due to the landlord pulling out as works could not be completed in time. So it was in no way my fault or problem. Unfortunately this agency didn't see it that way and tried to literally steal our deposit. They felt entitled to hundreds of pounds of our money and actually laughed in me and my partner's face when we went into the office to try and reason with them, two days before Christmas day.

They weren't laughing for long. I rang the landlord and explained what had happened to us after he had pulled out and he was so disgusted. He rang the owner and threatened to pull ALL his properties from their books if they didn't give us back our money. If he hadn't done that we would have lost hundreds to these people. It was their attitude that shocked me the most. Laughing at people is quite insane. For this reason I would not use Appointmoor estates and recommend you avoid it too. I wouldn't want anyone else to have this experience

The team are very attentive and courteous. A special mention to Rebecca who was sensitive to our situation, having had to sell a property due to a death in the family. I was kept informed throughout and often Appointmoor would help with the communication of all parties involved. Thank you.

After weeks of being let down by other Estate Agents it was refreshing to talk to Zac from Apointmoor. he was polite, efficient and actually did exactly what we wanted and got back to me within 30 minutes. Good customer service.

You often hear horror stories about how complicated and long winded buying a property can be, especially as I'm an inexperienced first time buyer. I too believed this to be true until I had the pleasure of buying my first home through Appointmoor recently. My first viewing was lead by Mike who was extremely knowledgeable and informative. He put my mind at rest with any questions about the property until my offer was put in.

Upon it being accepted (hooray!), I was introduced to Rebecca who I cannot praise enough. She kept me regularly updated on the sales process and communicated with the solicitors on my behalf - as I work full time this was a great time saver! I'm due to pick up my keys this week and can't thank the Appointmoor team enough. I'd certainly recommend their services and will be using them in the future.

Appointmoor were our second choice initially but following 8 weeks of inactivity from another agent, Mike, Amy and the team were a breath of fresh air. Worst customer service ever. Waited for 40 minutes for the agent to get the key. In the meantime other viewers arrived (4, to be precise) and we weren't even invited inside.

Very impressed with Appointmoor. Excellent marketing and they found a buyer very quickly, but the transaction then proved very challenging. Rebecca had to work very hard for several months with constant frustration to get to comptetion, but we got there in the end. On that basis I would recommend Appointmoor without hesitation.

Wonderful Stress Free service. Sophie answered all our constant questions and put our mind at rest about our concerns, she made us feel calm and stress free about the move. We were made to feel important and valued by her and Appointmore Estates at all times. The rental went very smoothly and everyone was professional and friendly. Appointmoor Estates have always been a lovely helpful estate agents and we have never had any problems in renting property through them over the years.

We have just exchanged as buyers with Appointmoor as agents. It's been a really long process over 10 months but Appointmoor, and Mike and Marilyn in particular have been excellent. From arranging the first viewing, the offering process through to the day of exchange, they've kept us and our solicitors informed, we've never had to chase, all calls and emails are always answered quickly - this considering they technically "work" for the seller and not the buyer.

We've dealt with a lot of agents in the last year while trying to buy and could not say enough about Appointmoor - professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely look to use them as our agents if we are ever selling.

I cannot recommend Appointmoor enough. This is my first time renting and after the way I was first treated by another local Estate Agent, I wish I'd used Appointmoor from the start. I dealt with Zak & Cheryl who were both extremely professional from start to finish. They were friendly, helpful and made the whole experience problem free. I was renting a property from Appointmoor for about a year, It was time for my contract to be renewed so I rung up to get it sorted it took me 7 calls and still nothing was done. I was constantly promised they would send me a new contract every time so I went in store and refused to leave till I got a new one. The manager assured me it would be sorted so I left.

Guess what nothing happened! I had 3 years like this. I even had an abusive call when I asked about having a dog. I was asking for their permission and was spoken down to like I was dirt. The worst part was when I said i was leaving due to their unwelcoming service that made me not want to be their anymore. I gave them a call and said I am leaving is there anything you need me to do and they said all they need to do is give a months notice I then said that i'm leaving now is that ok for notice? She (amy) said yes I then said is there anything else i need to do and I was told that everything was fine. Guess what. They refused yours ex tenants from 42 tintern avenue
