I just rented a flat in Holt, being assisted by Vicky from Brown&Co. She was brilliant, extremely effective, good communication, the whole process was done in no time. I cannot ask for more, thank you very much! Highly recommended!

I have 4 properties that Brown & Co look after for me and what I always find so helpful is that either Vicki or Tim are always at the end of the phone should there be any problems. They deal with the tenants for me so I don't have to be involved that much and change of tenancies always goes smoothly. I would recommend this company and especially Vicki who is very professional and helpful and Tim for his wonderful knowledge.

I have always found Vicki to be easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. Recently a tenant had a problem with the gas supply and boiler. Vicki liaised with the suppliers and engineers, and ensured the problems were rapidly resolved. I was kept informed of progress, but left the management of the issues in the capable hands of Vicki. 10/10.

I have dealt with all team members for over a decade for both residential and commercial services. They are professional, experienced and have outstanding knowledge of the local area. Vicki Foreman is one of the best negotiators I have encountered anywhere in the country. Henry Cockertons knowledge and local 'know how' have been invaluable to the family business. Strongly recommended

One of if not the worst company I've ever dealt with, booked a viewing on a property for the following day arrived early to look around the area, finally 15 minutes late they show up with music blaring out of the car and not an apology as to being late or a hello I'm from Brown & Co. During the tour it all seemed ok and that any poor service was potentially being undone property had been sat empty for around 12 months but was told there's also one other family interested and they're able to pay 6 months so that puts them at an advantage as in his words "I'm sure you couldn't afford to do that" I'm unaware how he had such knowledge of my finances!

Even after this we where still interested and was told if we want the property we need to advise by the following day to be put forward for consideration, we let them know we are interested as the property fit our needs perfectly, from there it was a constant game of calling in and getting told we will call tomorrow with a decision we will let you know by Friday, I will get him to call you back none of this ever happed, very very unprofessional and very unreliable and in the end happy we never ended up having to get a property through them. If I could give 0 stars I would have, save yourself time hassle and constant calling for updates and use another agent who want to provide property services!

I have used Brown and Co at least 3 times since 2018 and I have always been very happy with the service I have received and would happily recommend this agent to others

Moved into a letted property February 2019. Paid approximately 250 in estate agents fees, then first months rent, deposit etc. Property advertised with a dishwasher which broke after the first week and blew the electrics as a result. The landlord refused to repair or replace the appliance, stating it was not in his favour to do so. Regardless of this blatant breach of contract, the estate agents at Brown & Co didn't want to know.

The excuse of "he doesn't pay us for maintenance fees" was used time and time again. After legal advice and advice from several housing charities I visited the Holt office with the tenancy agreement in hand. The agent told me that as their address or name was not in the contract then they did not have a duty of care for the tenants. Not only is the Brown & Co logo printed on the front of the document, the name and address of the Holt office is listed on page 2.

This was confirmed by a solicitor in Norwich. We now wish to leave the property as we have no trust in the landlord and zero faith in Brown & Co. The landlord will only agree to this if we pay 660 + VAT which is Brown & Co's charges for finding new tenants. I have written to the branch manager and still only receive generic emails of we can't help, no duty of care etc etc.

We are now being threatened with legal action by the landlord. So if you want to rent a property with a landlord not prepared to do repairs and like the estate agents to sit back and do bsolutely nothing when such an issue arises, then this is most definitely the company for you. Misleasing information and lack of professionalism all around! Perhaps this review is the only way to get my point across but I'm not holding my breath.
