The origins of Ridgeway can be traced back to 1987 when the West of England Building Society opened an agency chain by buying renowned Swindon agent, John Legge Associates. Over the course of ten years the company continued to travel forward and in 1998 Ridgeway was born! We have been with Ridgeway as our letting agents for the past 5 years and we cannot fault the service they provide. Even with a move to another property managed via Ridgeway, when we encountered a bump in the road, the team - especially Jo, Lorna and Julian went above and beyond to help us. Needless to say, the moving process was worry free with Ridgeway as our agents.

Worst estate agents ever. I was told by friends that I would struggle to get my deposit back from this company but foolishly rented from them anyway. Not only are they trying to deduct from my deposit despite the agent who looked at the house stating it was fine they are also holding back overpaid rent which I'm due because I actually found them another tenant who took the tenancy over early. Please avoid this company they are dishonest and lacking any integrity whatsoever.

Never in my life have a recieved such poor service ans unprofessionalism from an estate agent like RIDGEWAY! This 4 bed bungalow in my old village was up for rent, made the enquiries with debbie and me and my partner was the 1st to view with in a few days. Met her there to view the property and yes it had alot of land which is ideal for the children but it wasn't in the best condition for the money asking.
But we was happy to oversea that and do a few make overs ourself to tidy it up and for the expense to come out my pocket We was advised to make a desison and then submit a 311 fee to secure it to get the ball rolling. We was in communication with debbie the same day who then replied saying hold fire until we hear back from a company regarding a past issue with my partners credit but would of easily passed in my name alone!
We then sent a further email to debbie about making payment and she then come out with a terrible excuse that she had been out the office for a few days and the landlord has secured it with someone they know, yet its still listed on many sites for let! Failed to mention that to us during our viewing Not only was we lied to but a wasted journey also!
The professionalism of her and there company is absolutley disgusting and they should be ashamed of themselves. Not even an APOLOGY whats so ever! Now i can see why your ratings are so low and i honestly hope you lose further clients down to your lies and dishonesty! I advise you stay WELL CLEAR of this company and use someone else who doesn't lie to pontential tenants and shatter your hopes of finding a place for your children to grow up in a place i lived for 29 years of my life

Too many additional charges when tenancy ends. I stayed at 124 Dunsford close and they charged me for lot of things inside the home and outside too. worst one i remember was handed over the key and after 3 days one of the member told me there is a small plant of 10cm with flowers close to driveway i have not cleared it and charged me additional 50 for that.
I told the guy i will come and clear it off but he told me still i am liable to pay 50 for his next appointment to check the same which is cleared or not. I have professionally cleaned and painted and give still they deducted almost 1/2 of my deposit. Kindly not choose them.

Having viewed & purchased my first house with James & then worked through the sale with Daisy from Ridgeway I can say with certainty I was very happy with the service received. From start to finish they were extremely prompt in replying to any contact made and kept the transaction moving at a decent pace. All things considered I would definitely use there services again in the future.

James was super helpful throughout the sale of my house. It wasn't straightforward with my buyers but James made sure I was always kept up to date and he went over and above to keep things moving. I would 100% use James and Ridgeway again and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

I was looking for a rental place for my daughter and I came across James at Ridgeway, he was really helpful and professional. He went out of his way to find suitable properties in the areas we wanted, and was always on hand to help and answer any questions we had. I would recommend James Coles and Ridgeway every time they really do offer 5 star service.
