In 1988 Smith and Partners opened for business from the sitting room of a period house in the Trent Valley. It was the first stepping stone in Malcolm Smith's vision to create a firm which would specialise in the sale of country property to the polite exclusion of properties that did not fit the mould.
Smith and Partners hold regular auction sales of country properties and we would be pleased to advise you on the process - which can produce resounding sales even in the current market. In practice, there are no strict guidelines in deciding on suitable entries, but it makes an enormous difference if the property is suitably special, or individual enough to generate a 'buzz factor' in the saleroom.
The timing of our auction sales is determined by several factors including assembling a small number of suitable lots in order to create the atmosphere and interest which is condicive to a successful sale. We have not set a date for our next auction but by registering in our auction mailing list you will be informed of interesting auction properties and forthcoming sales in advance.
