Avoid! Writing on behalf of my partner who is moving back to the area, she had viewed a cottage to rent and was very interested in taking the tenancy. She agreed to exceptionally pay 12 months up front and bring the tenancy forward to meet the requirements of the landlord. She then left 2 messages for Ben, awaiting a response to her request to take on the property.

No response was forthcoming and she then discovered on line that a let had been agreed to someone else within 24 hrs. They have still not had the decency to come back to her to advise of the situation. This has proved very distressing. Very unprofessional. Is this how this company and the landlord treat all their customers?

An extremely professional and efficient company. Stephen and his team managed to sell our house despite Brexit and a pandemic. Fantastic service! Would highly recommend!

This is the 2nd review I have written as the 1st has been removed. Possibly as someone thought it was too positive and must have been a fake review - it wasn't. Within the past 18 months we have used Stephen Oakley estate agents to buy and sell a property in Olney. Throughout the process of both transactions they have been exceptional. David Berry was the agent we used.

What we were impressed by was the honesty, local knowledge, ease of communication and problem solving. Our recent sale hit a few snags (through no fault of anyone) but David gripped up the issues quickly and saved the sale from falling through. At all stages we David would keep us updated without us having to chase or hear excuses. We would only every use Stephen Oakley if buying or selling in the Olney area again. Outstanding professional service.

Email I sent to Stephen Oakley & Co following a phone call to them today: I called and spoke to someone (male) in your office today regarding a couple of properties in Olney for sale. Unfortunately I was supposed to know what SSTC meant on the picture on your website, which I didn't. Maybe if I'd been living in the UK for the past 30 years I would know.

I'd like to suggest you make it clearer for your clients/investors what SSTC means, perhaps write it in full. Also, I was surprised by the abrupt way I was dealt with on the phone by your male staff member. And even more surprised that he didn't take my details and more information on what I am looking for. Not conducive to your sales bottom line. This experience has certainly not endeared me to your organisation. I suggest you review call handling procedures in-light of my experience.
