Thomlinsons Richard who has been in the property industry for Thirty Two years, joined Thomlinsons Twenty Seven years ago to join his Father in the practice. Educated at Rugby School and subsequently at Reading University. Richard obtained an Honours Degree in Rural and Estate Management. Always a great speedy response from the team at Thomlinsons, helpful and knowledgeable. Makes renting a property easy and care free as issues are dealt with immediately. Personnel yet professional service, I would Highly recommend them as an agency.

We rented with Thomlinsons for 2 years and it was overall a very pleasant experience. Repairs were acted upon swiftly. Once our tenancy ended our deposit was paid back quite fast so thats always a bonus. The only reason I've knocked a star off this is because some staff members on occasion have been particularly rude, and poor with email communications. This made the office feel quite unapproachable at times and what were simple queries, we were sometimes made to feel like we were an annoyance.

The letting service provided from a landlords perspective is subpar. I have used numerous letting services from numerous estate agents all over the country for the past 16 years and Tomlinsons has been, by far, the worst experience. There is not much more I can add that isn't already explained in the other negative reviews. However, particularly rude staff, threats of withholding money, poor inventories both at check in for tenants and check out, multiple occasions of not paying me as a landlord and having to chase up my own money (on one occasion having to provide multiple bank statements to prove they had not paid me), poor advice on multiple occasions, poor communication (bar a few members of staff) and adding services (rent guarantee insurance) to my account without even a phone call to discuss. I won't comment on their other services, but if you are a landlord looking for a letting agent, please look elsewhere.

A big Thankyou to Tomlinson's for being a great hands on Agent and taking good care and consideration in looking after both our tenants and our properties. I am especially thankful for their professional care during covid times when we were unable to visit the properties ourselves and for being so patient on the phone when they were sorting any maintenance work on our behalf. Bad rental experience here. No keys given at check in, they hoped they'd been left in the house (doesn't fill you with confidence having driven 115 miles with a van full of your belongings). Also had no information on where any of the meters etc. were, nor did the landlord. After their 'deep clean' before we moved in (which I presume the landlord paid for), we found feaces under a bed, cigarettes between the sofa cushions, what seemed to be insects in the curtains and the cupboards were filthy, but they refused to return.

Once they've got you committed to a property, they don't seem to care. *Reply to their response below - We DID contact you at the time and you said you "would not be returning to the property." And no, I've not got the wrong agent.

Thomlinsons are the management company for a flat I own. After leaving messages and emailing it took another call to get a response from the staff there who failed to provide any reassurance that ongoing issues are resolved. They then tried to blame the fact I rent the property out through another agent as the reason for any delays. If you can avoid using Thomlinsons I would.

It's a shame changing management company is so difficult. Try and avoid talking to Jane Bruce as she is rude, condescending, unhelpful and puts the phone down on you rather than listens and responds in a professional and helpful way.

After speaking with Anna in regards to our rental property we were getting on fine. Until I had the unfortunate event of speaking to her colleague Jane, who may I add has a horrible attitude. We have moved into a property which has rats in the loft, was thick in dust and spiders nests and has ants flooding under the front door (not ideal when I'm pregnant).

After sending a polite email to Anna explaining my issues, her colleague Jane then called me to say 'she was going to lay it out straight for me' (very rude way of opening a call with a customer) and that we would have to pay a 300 fee if we were to move out. I was only trying to simply ask Jane a question which was what is my right as a tenant in this situation, well how dare I ask! Jane then started raising her voice down the phone saying 'I am not going into this with you, I am here to lay it out straight for you and thats it' and then terminated my call.

On top of that I had one other occasion with Jane who was again, unfortunately filling in for Anna which I wish was not the case. She asked if I have any CCJ's or credit defaults, which I do not and neither does my partner, being two young professionals who work hard to keep our credit scores in good condition. She was then asking numerous times in a condescending way 'are you sure because you need to tell me now if you do' as though to doubt that we can even pay our way in the world and afford to pay our rent on time.

Very much the worst estate agent employee I have ever had to deal with. Worst customer experience I've ever had from an individual, thanks for nothing Jane, not exactly an exemplary employee of Thomlinsons.

Myself and my partner have been renting with Thomlinsons for almost a year and they have been the best estate agents we have been with. They are very understanding, friendly, supportive and always happy to help no matter how big or small. We feel extremely comfortable with them and enjoy catching up for a chat. Highly recommendable and you'll have a pleasant experience with them throughout.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality when you enquire about a property at 750,000 and the lady who answers the phone doesn't have a clue what she is talking about or doesnt even no any details about the property bit of a bad job

Thomlinsons have looked after my property and tenants for over 10 years. I am extremely pleased with their professionalism and expertise. They fully manage my property which gives me so much peace of mind. Any jobs are completed quickly with minimal involvement from myself. I'm sure they have looked after my tenants well which is important to me as a landlord. This has led to my tenants tending to stop long term. I'm so glad my property is managed by them and I would not swap to anyone else.
