Originally established in 1845, Wilbys are one of the most recognised and well respected local brands in the Barnsley property market.
Wilbys property alert service will notify registered users by email of new properties coming on to the market and any amendments to their property portfolio. Once you have registered as a visitor to the site you can maintain a personal list of properties in which you are interested. This allows you to mark and quickly access the information for these properties.
Wilbys are proud to be one of the few firms within the South Yorkshire Area offering a well respected and professional valuation and sales service in respect of items of fine art, antiques and household furniture and effects. Wilbys Fine Art Department is headed by Pierre Maciag, who has a long-standing background in the antiques trade having been based at Phillips in Leeds prior to moving to Barnsley in the early 1990's. Our experienced valuer is able to advise on the value of most fine art items, including furniture, ceramics, silverware, coins, paintings etc.
Providing a leading auction service in the South and West Yorkshire Region, our property auctions have been a characteristic of the firm since its origins in 1845. We hold a number of property auctions throughout the year which include properties from our Residential, Agricultural and Commercial departments.

Wilbys recently sold our bungalow in Staincross and the entire experience went very smoothly. Ben came out and gave us an excellent and realistic valuation, unlike some other who overvalued to try get the business. We had plenty of viewings and sold quickly for full asking price. Zoe kept us updated with the progress of the sale by email and telephone. We recommended them to our son and he has just sold his house within 3 days of going on the market for full asking price.

We recently bought a vacant retail property through Wilbys and subsequently instructed them to let the units. Alex kept us informed throughout the process, his knowledge and understanding of the local market is excellent and proved vital in letting the units in a relatively short period of time at a market rent. I have emailed wilbys twice and had no response. I rang them and enquired about some land for sale on their website, the girl I spoke to was really unhelpful, she seemed not to want to give me any information! I thought this was weird so asked her directly if there was a problem? To which she replied no and she would email me all the information over! Not to my surprise I have had no correspondence what so ever. Really frustrating trying to deal with unprofessional companies like wilbys.

I recently sold my house through Wilbys and cannot recommend them enough. The house went on the market on Tuesday night and it was sold by Thursday lunchtime! Ben and Zoe were very helpful throughout the process. Without Bens help and advice I think we would still be dilly dallying about putting it on the market in the first place! I am currently dealing with Wilbys as a first-time buyer on a property. Although the current circumstances with COVID-19 have presented numerous challenges to estate agencies and the property market, Zoe, the sales negotiator, has offered clear and regular communication, and has gone out of her way to be as helpful as possible, despite the unprecedented circumstances. She has been great throughout the process and I commend her for her hard work and integrity. I am very glad to be dealing with Wilbys and would recommend them to anyone.
