I was selling my uncles house after he passed away. John was very empathetic and compassionate when he came to value the house. He sat and explained everything in detail to us. All through the process everyone who I spoke to was very professional, friendly and answered all my questions. They will go out of their way to help and nothing was too much trouble. I can't thank them enough for making the process as easy as possible for us. If you want a reliable, professional Estate Agent, then don't go anywhere else.

From start to finish, the team at Burgoyne's were excellent. At the inital viewing they clearly knew the property well and showed us around, rather than simply letting us in and allowing us to look around (which was not always the case for us when viewing properties). The communication from then on was excellent, always very responsive either by phone or by e-mail, and they kept us in the loop throughout.

This was our first house purchase, and we were very pleased (and pleasantly surpised) by how smooth and stress free it was. We would use Burgoyne's again, and have recommended them to others already.

Now the third time I have used Burgoynes Estate Agents, to sell, buy then sell again. Highly recommend the fabulous team, personable, efficient, very helpful, excellent job from beginning to end. Extremely happy with all of you and the service you provided.

I am not in the habit of giving 5* but on this occasion I am. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Burgoynes twice over the past 15yrs. Firstly I sold my property and remember how helpful and efficient they were then. This time, coincidentally, I bought from them and had the same amazing treatment but as a buyer! Big thank you to Jemma and Steph who are a credit to the company. Kept me informed and nothing was ever any trouble. So lovely to have 5* treatment these days.

We had a couple of companies come around to appraise our property for sale or a short term rental. We had Connells and Burgoynes come around and we were both happy to go with Burgoynes. Lyn the owner seemed a lovely down to earth lady. She told us she would be happy to take the property on but to come back one month out from having the property vacant when she would get the ball rolling.

I happened to be passing their premises 3 months out and popped in to make sure we were still ok and what the market was like? When I went in Lyn was not there and the staff said they were no longer doing rentals. I straight away went into panic mode! I asked if I could speak to Lyn, but she was working from home. I was however given her email, which I used that evening just to get her recommendations on someone else who could rent out our property.

Unfortunately i received no response and despite 2 more calls to the office where the staff said they would pass on the message and would email her a reminder she has not had the common curtesy or manners to return my call or answer my email. Would I use them again? No, common curtesy costs nothing and when we come to sell or buy a property we shall look elsewhere.

We recently sold our home using Burgoyne Estate Agents and the service was first class. The staff are all very personable and take pride in the work they carry out from the initial meeting to advertising the property to finally selling the property. Communication was excellent and whenever we had a query, they were on hand to help. Highly recommended.

Burgoyne's recently sold a house for me in Exeter. Lyn, John and their team were excellent throughout the whole process. They are pleasant to deal with, quick to respond, and they provide a great service. Importantly, they are ethical and act with integrity. The best Estate Agents we've dealt with!

When you engage an estate agent what comes to mind initially is their ability to present and market your house and get the best price for it. The team at Burgoyne's did this for us professionally and with courtesy. But they really came into their own when things got complicated with arranging exchange and completion dates. We would have lost our sale had not the Burgoyne team (and particularly the tenacious Mrs B) gone above and beyond in securing our sale and purchase.

We realised how important it was to have a local agent who really cared about their customers. We would highly recommend them and are very grateful to them for their help and support.

An excellent company to deal with- extremely professional and friendly, with a fantastic knowledge and level of care about local area properties. We had been with one of the bigger agents, but received quite poor care and attention to detail (and not sold our house for over a year). Burgoynes sold it in just over a month- and we could not have been happier with their services.

For anyone reading this looking for an agent, the moral of the story is go for the local independent guys. People like Burgoynes just care more and know your area better, it's that simple and was apparent at every stage.
