The Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme is a compensation scheme run by the National Federation of Property Professionals (NFoPP) which provides compensation to landlords, tenants and other clients should an agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. We realise your home is important to you and so we endeavour to provide a smooth an efficient service. Your home is important to us. By law any property advertise for rent must have a valid E.P.C, we can arrange this for you and it lasts 10 years.

Do not trust these people with your money! Not only will you be asked to pay 2 months rent as deposit plus ANOTHER 1 upfront! You won't get your money back when you're supposed to and they will do whatever they can to deduct from the amount! 40 for "cleaning" even though the flat was left in better condition than when I moved in!. Now I'm guessing that deep cleans are probably essential in these times before a new tenant moves in but don't worry YOU will foot the bill for this. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere, I had a much more pleasant experience with Reeds Rains.

Some of the families placed with the previous letting agents have been great and I'm still in regular contact with them however Alex just seems to care about getting the property let no matter who rents the property. I've now got 8+ people from multiple families living next door in my home that I've lived in for over 25 years and the noise is unbearable but Mitchell Property Maintenance don't want to know. Avoid if you want a hassle free letting!

At first appearance the company looks and acts like a professional rental company. Alex in particular gives the impression that he's a friendly, family man who can't do enough to help. But words mean nothing when not followed up by action. From data protection and compliance breeches to avoidance of dealing with serious complaints brought to his attention.
I can see how Alex could be seen as a helpful friendly professional rental agent if there are no serious issues to rectify. If you are a landlord or perceptive tenant considering using this company i would seriously consider this. If only because full personal data on other tenants/landlords etc are shared freely to other neighbouring tenants by Alex Mitchell personally.
You can also expect to find tenants & landlords etc full personal details on display in the office for anyone to see including: *bank account details *Full Name *Address *Phone Numbers etc Mark is a genuine, pleasant and professional man. But my only contact with him was when i paid him rent and unfortunately on that occasion he gave me a receipt for allot less than amount received.
But this was due to Alex's directions. So no fault to Mark and if anything he should be the manager as he's a people person who seems to care about his clients. Keep an eye out in the press for full details.
