Always a family favourite, still finding things to see and do after 10 years holidaying down here

Woolacombe is a fantastic beach. Great for families and dogs. Toilets next to the beach and a choice of food and ice cream places. Very safe beach, patrolled by lifeguards. 8 for car parking was a bit much. Leaving the car park at the end of the day was quite a nuisance with only one barrier.

Some of the most beautiful coastline around Britain, with clean sandy beaches and crystal clear water. There's some excellent surfing at Woolacombe bay (Croyde further down on the West coast is brilliant too of course). We've canoed East from Watermouth campsite's slipway (no canoe / kayaks allowed from the nearby quay) to Broadsand Bay. Briery (or Watermouth) cave is just out from the campsite slipway, on your right as you head out.

You can walk through here at low tide or paddle a canoe / kayak through at high tide. Small launch fee at the reception and pay and display parking. Amazing views as you approach and arrive at Broadsand Bay and beach with a number of other caves to spot as you travel. There are steep steps down to this beach if you're willing to take the trek down and up again. Mortehoe has a beautiful stretch of coastal path traversing Morte Point, where you can often spot seals below. Paths lead around the edge of the coast as well as up to the top of Morte Point where you can take in the scenery around the coast.

You can also access the paths from Woolacombe. Another stunning coastal path walk passes between The Valley of Rocks & Lynton / Lynmouth, with terrifyingly high views from the pathway. Park either at the town end or beside the valley for a walk of a lifetime. Barricane beach next to Woolacombe has some tiny tropical shells (including Cowrie) if you look carefully at the high tide area of the beach.

There's a fantastic cafe serving Sri Lankan Curry (and plenty of other delights) on the beach from 5 - 7pm most nights, weather permitting. Open all day too. Heddon Valley / Heddon's Mouth has a gentle walk through the woods, alongside a stream that leads on to a secluded pebbled beach (some sand at very low tide). The Hunters Inn is situated at the head of the valley, near to the large NT carpark. Look out for the peacocks on the grounds while you have a pint or meal. Lovely views from either end of the bar or restaurant.

Beautiful coastline, the views are amazing! The roads aren't fantastic for driving on but you get to see so much, definitely worth maybe taking the bus or being a passenger just so you can take it all in. Plenty of surf hire places available and the waves are perfect for surfing. The beaches are sandy and flat. Lots of little ice-cream shops, places to eat and places to stay overnight.

Beautiful location, walks are moderate skill level due to few inclines but paths well looked after. Would reccomend.

Beautiful. But need your walking boots as there is plenty of walking to be done. Views are amazing take your camera. Fish and chips are the best iv tasted. No grease like up north ha. There are toilets at most places where tourists go. Lots of surfers! Enjoy
