Crapper & Haigh Crapper & Haigh was founded in 1968 by Patrick Crapper & Michael Haigh, two Surveyors/Valuers who had wide ranging experience throughout South Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. The aim of the Firm from the outset was to provide a traditional broad based Property Service giving personal attention from the Partners on a wide range of Residential and Commercial Property matters. It quickly established a reputation for not only its efficiency but also its integrity in dealing with all property matters.

We understand how daunting buying a property can be and this is why we ensure we provide the best service possible to transform this stress into an exciting and memorable experience. Our buying service is designed to take you through the process step-by-step, providing a property service to suit all your needs.

We will work with you to agree a marketing plan to suit the needs of your property, designed to achieve the best possible price for your home. When selling your house we will consider every aspect of the transaction, working within the timescales available and in relation to the market conditions in the area.

The team at Crapper and Haigh Swallownest have been amazing with dealing with both the sale of my property and the purchase of my new one. They always returned my calls and went out of their way to help when things started to go wrong even though this was due to issues with solicitors. I cannot recommend them highly enough and will definitely use them again if I need an estate agent in the future.

John Francis has an amazing team in the Swallownest office.

A very happy experience and excellent service from Karen and Anne who are based at the Swallownest branch. They have been very informative by constantly keeping me updated about the property I was purchasing. I have found them to be attentive and very polite. They were always willing to follow up on things by liaising with others on my behalf. 1st class service. Thank you.

Having lived in private renting for the best part of two decades, I've dealt with a lot of letting agents. Never have I dealt with such a lackadaisical, unresponsive and unprofessional agents. They don't answer their phones, respond to messages or their emails..

Having been led to believe I was the first into a property, and trying to arrange a date to sign for it I find out online that they have already agreed a let, having that I've chased them for the best part of week it would've been courteous to let me know. Don't waste your time, absolutely useless!

Poor service.. very rude. Didn’t do repair work or make sure house was safe.
Rent went up yearly but nothing was ever done that was asked... ended up having to move because of this!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness Not a good experience at all. Lack of communication, no feedback on inquiries after we expressed that we are ready to put an offer in before any other offers were expressed, the list goes on. But the point is, my husband an I are highly disappointed in the service experienced.

Had a great experience selling with Crapper and Haigh Swallownest. The ladies were always so helpful and constantly in contact to sort things out and keep us updated - much better than what I've heard about other local agents! Would not hesitate to use C+H again! Thanks!

Sold our home recently and we're very pleased with the customer service and help we got from all the staff. Competitive prices and several pacages explained very clearly. The buyers of our home also liked the service and help they got from the team too. They helped a very stressful time making it much much easier to deal with. I would highly recommend them if you're thinking of selling. They even helped us to find a helpful solicitors who we were very pleased with also. Thank you everyone.

Where to start? They pride themselves for ""vintage efficiency" proud of not using direct deposit for rent payments. Let me clarify that this really means total mediocrity and incompetence. They told me that I asked to many questions when I asked if they could walk us through the details of our letting before we signed and paid the first months rent and referencing fees.

This is when we found out (because I asked and made the secretary call whoever knew the answer) that they did not accept any other payment method but cash or check. They disclosed my personal information to my partners employer and my partner's information to another tenant's employer. We waited for two months after we payed our first month's rent and referencing fees before they got us to move in.

Every time we called in they would place us on hold as they forwarded our questions to the agent (two or three times per call), would try to dismiss us and a couple of times even hang up on us. They would also ask us for our phone number (that they had on file) and tell us "my colleague will call you back" but really never did.
