Thank you to the City & County Sales team who were brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble from the viewings to problem solving they are all very professional, helpful and caring people. I cant thank Sales Progression Manager Susan Beaney enough for all her hard work, going above and beyond to try and get me moved nothing was too much trouble thank you so much for everything you did to try and resolve the complex problems.
Also Andrew in lettings has been so helpful arranging for me to rent the property short term so that I had a roof over my head. And to Giovanni for his help and advice regarding selling my property after my purchasers pulled out two weeks before the planned move arranged through another Estate Agent had failed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful team if you are thinking of moving home.

I start marketing my house for sale with city along with 8 other estate agents from Peterborough. Out of those only two estate agent were effective. and out of those two city service were best. Before they advertise this in web they start to bring people next day. They were very effective and will not force you to sell your property for lower value.
They will do their best to help you to find buyer and provide excellent service. Other estate agents will lie to you about other agents and force your to sell your property for lower value. I have no hesitation to recommend City &County Peterborough. Well done team!

I am delighted with the service received from Faye Young at City and County to secure a Tenancy Agreement in Kettering, all questions asked were answered in a professional manner. The duration of the process was 2 weeks from application to agreed moving in date for the reason of referencing to be validated etc. I would recommend the service to any prospective applicant looking for a Contract Tenancy Agreement.

My sister and I have just signed a tenancy agreement for a property in Peterborough with Faye Young. She kindly did a video tour for us as we live in Chester and are relocating. She handled everything with us so professionally and in a polite/friendly manner. She's made what we thought was going to be a very stressful transition, a very easy one, she's been incredibly friendly and provided us with all the information we need and answered my probably very basic questions. Can't recommend her and this estate agency enough.

We have been customers of City and County with both letting and purchase. While the letting was a few years ago we report no concerns and I am reminded that they were one of the best that we had experienced, we had no issues whatsoever. If you are renting it's worth considering that except for wear and tear you do have a responsibility to put it back as it was when you moved in, if you're in doubt take your own recording and photos when they take you around the property.
We used the sales side to sell our property during the pandemic. I found everyone easy to work with and I was quite satisfied with the service throughout. Yes they had challenges during the pandemic as many businesses did and had to find ways to deal with this, we did not find that this caused an issue from our perspective. When people at the office were not available due to personal reasons someone else picked up the baton. Sam and Giovanni told me with such confidence they would sell the house no problem.
They seemed so confident at the time I couldn't help think that 'they would say that' you know? But guess what, they had people round the next day to view the property and most days after until it was sold in just two weeks. That was after I had it with an online estate agents for 6 weeks with only 2 enquiries. Going forward I will be using City and County to sell our next home and I'll be using their conveyancers for buying and selling too. They've been doing this a long time and we will continue to trust them going forward to meet our house buying/selling needs.

Great service offered from the beginning of property seeing till this long tenancy period of 3 years. Very professional interaction and very responsive and quick in fixing the maintenance problems. Their online portal is one click to report all the issues quickly and effectively. Special thanks to Helen for her great dealing and customer service offered. All the very best "City & County" for your great service and looking forward to connecting with you again in future.

I can only say these are the worst agents out there. NEVER USE THEM I wish I had read this before I used them to sell my house. I was rushed into signing a contract with them after my Dad died as I couldn't cope with being a landlord, they were fully aware. I was told they had 9 viewers lined up and I had to sign to get this moving. This was not true.
I was sent a scanned copy of the agreement over, in which was the smallest wording ever seen. Then I was locked in with them. The worst decision I have ever made. Horrible company, the staff lie, money is all they are interested in and they will do and say anything to get it. Please do not use this company.

I encountered City and County in hopes of letting a property through them. Worst experience ever. My spouse and I are new to the UK and City and County couldn't have cared any less or help this move be as smooth as possible for us. We found a property that we really liked and were told to pay the admin fee to take the property off of the market. Then, the referencing would start.
As soon as we viewed the property, we called in to pay the admin fee (as we were told). The house was taken off of the market almost TEN DAYS LATER because they "couldn't take the property off of the market without a bank statement". We were NEVER told this before when we viewed the property. We turned in all required documents. Then we were told we needed a UK bank statement.
We told them that our account was new and we wouldn't be able to provide one until the official statements were cute (in about three weeks). (They should have known this to begin with and if they cared about us, they would have told us in advance once we told them we just got here from the US.) City and County told us not to worry and they would work around it.
Long story short we spent daysss going back and forth from the bank driving to City and County to get something similar to an official bank statement. (Per City and County's request.) Only for them to tell us three weeks later that they couldn't work with us and we needed an official statement. (I told them from day 1 that I was unable to provide it since we just moved.
Why not tell me then that they can't help us instead of drag me along from an additional three weeks?) Secondly, we turned in all required documents (minus the bank statement). THREE weeks later, our point of contact at City and County tells me that they need a marriage certificate from me because my passport had my maiden name, instead of my new last name.
Keep in mind, I turned in those documents THREE weeks before that date. I was unable to provide my marriage certificate because none of my belongings have made it to the UK. Lastly, after being dragged around for three weeks I called and told them that we needed to figure something out or we would rent elsewhere. City and County told me that whatever letting agent we went with, they would need a bank statement as well. That's lie #2.
We went and looked at another property from Noonan and Giggs on Friday 7Sep. It is now 13Sep and the property has been taken off of the market, we have completed the referencing process, and we have a move in date! Please don't waste your time with them or money like we did, especially if you are in the military. We are now paying out of pocket at a hotel all thanks to City and County.
They don't care about their letting customers. They took our money and never called us with updates. We always had to call them. Then, they were extremely quick to take our 300 pounds for the admin fee, but weren't able to accept the documents we provided them. How convenient. Then they blamed me for wasting my time. Never received an apology for anything.
Overall dreadful experience, but I am so happy we ran into Noonan and Giggs. They truly care about you and work extremely hard to suit their customers needs. They did everything as promised and have lots of experience with military. Check the out!

23 minutes ago You only had one job. After telling you that I am travelling 2.5hours and checking again with you that the viewing was taking place you call 25 mins before to cancel. You blame it on the vendor not being available. You insist that the vendor would have been informed by a text. You would not take responsibility for this fail and waste of time.
So what actually is your job at this stage apart from sticking some photos on the internet and arranging viewings? What contingency plans do you have? How do you think you could improve the process and actively confirm with vendor? Like I said, you only had one job. FAILED.

I wish I'd seen the reviews on here before renting with them : 120 to apply non refundable, steep but ok if it gets me the property I want. Then 60 for some tenancy agreement fee would have been nice to know in advance. Then 30 every 6 months for a 'periodic' fee well at least it's not too bad. Then I moved out 54 checkout fee.
Since when Oh and a 170 fee for cleaning, when the house is cleaner than when I moved in and the inventory supports this! And they tried to charge my another 54 to remove furniture included on the advert! All in all, that's nearly 500 in hidden / dubious fees Speaking to other people who've rented through them, I got off lightly.

Hidden fees (rent through them and you'll pay and pay and pay), rude staff and poor customer service - they seem very helpful until your locked in. If you rent a flat, it'll be a month's rent and deposit - fine. Then it's a 125 application fee, then a 60 odd tenancy fee, then a 25 admin fee and so on. They'll ignore maintenance requests and you're lucky if you get the features promised (I didn't). Avoid!
