This is the first time I've ever privately rented and I have nothing but positive reviews for Spencer Ward. It has an absolute pleasure to deal with this company, emails always replied to the same day if it's before closing time, lots of information and help provided when needed, any repairs or issues are swiftly managed very quickly, everything is transparent, no hidden charges or fees. Excellent company, would highly recommend to anyone looking to rent/let or buy/sell - go through Spencer Ward.

Edit: In a review below, the next tenant at the property had the same issues with mould and damp (and losing deposit) a year later. Absolutely horendous agency. Left us living with damp and black mold, which caused significant health issues and damage to belongings. Overcharged for everything. Never fixed anything, leaving us wothout proper heating and hotwater over winter. New tenants still have the mold, feel sorry for them. If you avoid one company in your life, make it this one.

DO NOT trust this Spencer Ward or anything they say verbally during property viewings. They blatantly lied about the details of a property to get me to sign a contract and they misadvertised a property with an incorrect description of the type of tenant suitability. Despite this legal action is not possible due to costs of hiring a solicitor against amount sought.
Ignore the cushy office or condescending fake niceness of these Letting Agents, they are as bad and malicious as using "private landlords". Shared my story with co-workers who stated even they don't get mistreated with private landlords in the way I have with Spencer Ward.

I have received fantastic service from Vickie and her team at Spencer Ward. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have dealt with any issues/queries I have raised promptly and professionally. Horrible agency. Completely rude and patronising on the phone when we called them with problems - probably assumed because we are young we don't know what we are doing and tried to take advantage. Told them multiple times that the carpets were sticky and mouldy in the bedrooms (nothing was ever done). Then they had the nerve to try and charge us for a full carpet clean in the bedrooms when we vacated.
Really had to put up a fight to get them to reduce the amount they wanted to take from our deposit. Constantly had to chase them in order to get things fixed in the property. Rude, and try to take as much money from your deposit as they possibly can - stay away!

I have used Spencer Ward for approximately eleven years to let my property and they have always been totally professional throughout the whole process of finding tenants, to looking after my property to the end of tenancies. They ensure the tenants are of good quality and quickly sort any queries either we or the tenants have. Their charges are extremely reasonable.
We have no worries or direct dealings with our property as their management service is second to none. Compared to other management companies I have used they are far superior.

The team at Spencer Ward did an excellent job. I wasn't quite sure of the first property I viewed (not the location I really wanted) so they took me to another property which was great! Altogether, they are very friendly, extremely professional, helpful and did an excellent job. I would recommend any day. Thank you for your help
