Brilliant from start to finish. Regular updates each week with a progress report on viewings and then our subsequent sale. From the very beginning Peter was so positive and gave us the confidence to go ahead with Charters Winchester. We didn't bother asking anyone else as first impression was so encouraging. An offer on our property was accepted within 3 months and the after sales service with Jo continued with the professional knowledge we'd become accustomed to.

Charters has a very professional teams, the staff who accompanied us on the viewing are very knowledgeable, giving suggestions what can be possible improve the property. Although we didn't purchase the house from them due to we have particular area we would like to be but the staff had shown us alternative area with pleasant manner especially Cameron, he is willing to listen and try to find properties we require.

We have been searching to secure a rental property since the beginning of Jan 2022. During this search I have dealt with numerous Lettings Agents. There were only two which went beyond my expectations and I felt worked consistently in assisting me, in what is an extremely competitive market. Our experience with finding a rented property though Charters was exemplary. Sarah was very personable and seemed driven to ensure we found a property we liked. She lined up a full day of viewings, which we were shown by the equally pleasant Rosie and Gary, including a last minute addition that we ended up putting in an offer for.

I have nothing but good things to say about Charter's Winchester! From first viewing to exchanging contracts, the whole team has been incredibly responsive, friendly and always professional in everything they've done. - Before beginning the tenancy, Charters sent the paperwork to incorrect emails on two separate occasions delaying the process of completing contracts.

-I had to email and call them over 10 times, in order for them to agree to give me the keys before 17:30 on my first day of tenancy

-when I emailed asking a question about broadband in my property it was completely ignored.

-On the day of picking up my keys, the key to the building was faulty and required jimmying the lock for around 15 minutes before it would sometimes work, or more often a neighbour let me in first.

I went to Charters in person who gave me another version of the same key with the same problem. Charters told me that the key had worked historically "there was just a nack to it" - when I asked if someone could show me the "nack" in person they refused despite my property being within 100M of their building. Charters showed no urgency in solving the situation and offered no compensation for my trouble.

They told me to ring the neighbours to get in throughout the weekend (against Covid guidelines), and 'at some point in the future someone will look into changing the lock'. When I expressed this wasn't practical, the manager at this branch Tracey Docherty told me to ask neighbours if I could borrow their keys to get them cut, I asked if they would accompany me to ask the neighbours for this awkward request, Charters flatly refused and said I must do it alone.

- I said I wanted to leave a review when the manager told me this^, she avoided giving me a specific review website details to find myself on the internet and has yet to send this via email to me as I requested.

I viewed a number of houses with different members of the Charters team in Winchester and all were excellent. I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for property in the Winchester area.

We are currently in the process of buying and selling our home via Charters, Winchester. We purchased our current home via them in 2012 and did not hesitate to instruct them this time around, which was absolutely the right choice. Ollie and his team have provided us with a first class service. Everyone at Charters is clearly passionate about what they do and are a delight to work with. We can not recommend them highly enough.

Communication from the start with viewings and feedback to the end through the sales chasing process was excellent. Peter was great with dealing with the marketing of the property and Jo was fantastic at chasing the sale through.

They supported us through the negotiations, and provided us with access to useful services during the move, such as an excellent removal company.

We have recently sold a piece of land with Charters and after meeting many potential buyers introduced by Brett Coleman and his team, we chose a small developer whom we feel comfortable with and who could complete the sale promptly. Wonderful! I dealt with them on a day to day basis and they always follwed up and reported back when they said they would. I’ve experienced the moving process for a fair few years and they made it seamless!!! From viewings to exchange and completion.

I had a flyer through the door about selling my home and I made the free valuation call out of curiosity. Steve visited and valued it, he said he had buyers who'd be interested. I started to look, found something better suited and central and before I knew it Charters had found a buyer for mine and the rests history! I put my trust in them and it paid off!

Sold our house with Charters. Got weekly update calls and if we ever asked a question by email between these calls we got an answer same day. Nony and Jo were both particularly helpful during the long process. One comment: The guy that did the valuation said he would deal with us throughout the entire sale process, updating us each week - we never saw or heard from him again! His replacements weren't an issue (in the slightest), but if it's not going to happen, don't promise it.
