I had a nice experience with them for viewing a property at Tithbarn Road Southport. They been nice to me on phone. They waited for me as I stuck on traffic and late by 15 minutes for viewing.

Arranged a viewing on a lovely looking property i was interested in on Thursday 21/4/22 I was met on time by Nicole who was conducting the viewing and was greeted in a warm professional manner! I'm a first time buyer and many previous viewings I have attended were rushed and I felt I wasn't given the opportunity to ask all the questions I should have!

It's a quite stressful experience trying to find the right place to live but Nicole was a mine of helpful information. I was given time to ask all the questions I wanted and everything was explained fully in a way I understood. She. made me feel at ease and wasn't just pushing for a sale! She was genuine and honest and obviously enjoyed her job! 10/10 experience. Thankyou Simon Kennedy

Anthony James Estate Agents have managed a property on my behalf for over 10 years. All the team are professional and efficient and provide a service that is responsive to the tenants needs with a reliable level of consultation to keep me well informed. Good communication and service are essential as I live 200 miles away from the property and rely on Antony James. They have never let me down!

Critical: Quality They will waste your time, they'll use your offer to get higher offers, completely unethical company, they seem very money hungry, I've learnt to avoid them now in the future as they play games,

They were the politest estate agents ive spoken to whilst looking to rent and actually treated us like people which is a first for us as other estate agents haven't. My only complaint is that i was told i would receive emails when a property would be good for me and i havent recieved any like that so i couldve missed out on properties if i had relied on their mailing system

Is too long the story to tell it on here, but all i can say is that from all the agencies in Southport they are the only agency that doesn't make viewings even if the measures related to Covid have easesd. You have to apply for a property and then if you are lucky and you are chosen by the landlord(this is what they say even if i think is not true),t hen you have to pay one week rent to secure it and MAYBE then you can see the property you apply for.

Well for me sounds like russian rulette, how am i supposed to pay upfront deposit for a house that i didn't saw it with my own eyes, a house that i don't even know the sizes of the rooms so i can see if the house is suitable for the furniture i have, etc. On top of that i called three times to be told the same story, we will call you, the landlord didn't called us back, etc.

Last time when we spoke with them my husband explained that we gave notice to our current agency and we don't have too much time to wait and the women from this agency hanged up the phone in his nose. This is not how you treat a possible future tenant, I am amazed that in 2021 there are still people that judge you based on race, without even meet you face to face!

Incompetence all around! I've had dealings with Anthony James for a couple of years now and the experience has been extremely negative. I would give 'zero stars', if the option was available. From day one communication was extremely poor (and still is) and there is no sense of urgency when it comes to urgent repairs. As a Leaseholder and a Landlord I am extremely disappointed, as they are unable to provide promised services which they advertise on their own website!

For example: Communication 24/7 - yet to witness this! Transparency - as a landlord with decades of experience, I have never witnessed a company which cannot show transparency. As an example to this, when you receive a breakdown, some charges are in totally wrong places! Saving Money- definitely not the case - all of their work is carried out at extremely over inflated prices and with no justification. Furthemore, the quality of work carried out by their builders is extremely poor and on one occasion their 'quick fix' caused harm to my tenant which could have resulted in a lawsuit. Furthermore, the director of Anthony James is extremely abrupt, unprofessional and couldn't even follow his own complaints procedure which is advertised on the website.

Here is the thing, as long as you don't have any issues, staff will be nice to you. The moment you have an issue which you want to raise or go through their complaints procedure, noone is interested and if they can they will avoid you and stop communicating. To avoid disappointment I would strongly recommend to stay away, as well as rudeness which you will experience the moment you have an issue.

What is also very strange is that after when they re-signed their website all reviews have mysteriously vanished, including a significant number of negative reviews. All reviews are relatively recent and some of them don;t have reviews or reviews don't make sense. If they were in fact 'Transparent' then they would have kept reviews from years ago. Beware!

I've used many estate agents and leggings agents throughout the UK, as a landlord, purchaser and seller and have never found a decent one apart from Anthony James. They are professional, organised, efficient, competent and really easy to work with. I would highly recommend - they are unrivalled

I finally decided to sell my Apartment and went to AJ estate agents to discuss the potential value of the property and their costs. I was met by Nicole who was very pleasant and professional. Within a matter of 30 minutes, she had an estimated realistic value of my property and the costs to complete the sale. After agreeing to AJ selling the property, Nicole was in touch constantly, informing me of how the sale would be managed and within ONE viewing, my Apartment was sold at the full asking price! Nicole's manner, professionalism and genuine interest in selling the property was evident from the minute I met her.

I have just used AJ to find a tenant for my rental property. Jacqui gave an excellent first impression for the company on our first meeting. She is warm, friendly, very professional and gave me valuable information throughout the whole process. She has a great team of staff in the office who are all friendly, professional and seem very genuine in their intentions to find the right tenant for my property.

They kept me in the loop with viewings and applications and not once did i have to chase anything up. I would absolutely recommend them to any other landlord who needs a tenant find/management service and will continue to use them in the future.
