Orlebar Charles

Rented an exec 5 bed house via Charles Orlebar. Charles is unpleasant to deal with, processes are terrible, he treats tenants with contempt and distrust. Every engagement was hard work. Find another rental via a better agency!

We chose to sell our house with Charles Orlebars, at the exact time the housing market went into crisis, rubbish interest rates and very few people around buying. We worked closely with George, and I can tell you this guy earned his fees, he sold our house twice, 6 months apart, the first time we had some issues and we had to pull out of the agreed sale, not once did George make us feel bad, he’s been nothing but supportive, 6 months later it took a little longer and a lot of hard work, but George was always there, even though he had so, so much going on in his own life! Getting this sale to completion was fairly fraught and tiresome, but George was always on the end of the phone or text to help work things out. No they aren’t the cheapest agent, and they didn’t value our house as high as any other agent, but they are the best! I must give a shout out to Lucy and Liz, who are also absolutely fantastic! We will miss you George, it’s like you’d become part of the family!

Professional and efficient; this agent acted for the buyer in my recent house purchase. Definatley did a good job at showing me around the house and handling the transaction. Very approachable team.

Terrible experience and customer service. We have tried to arrange a viewing of a property and all they said was "we will forward that to the team" without contacting us for WEEKS. In addition to that, we went to their office and no one was there to assist us either, but guess what, the gentleman there said they'll forward it to the "team", which is apparently non-existent judging by how they handled the situation so far.

The story continues when we called again about another property and they came up with the same reply which I wasn't suprised by. To this day the properties I talked about are still available on RightMove and noone came back to us. Complete waste of time and effort. Never again. Organization ZERO, customer care ZERO.

I can not highly recommend Liz from Charles Orlebar Estate Agents. A truly unique experience, from start to finish. Liz's people centred approach is not one that you come across often. I would highly recommend Charles Orlebar Estate agents - we sold our family home through Liz and George and the service was superb. George's marketing photos and video were excellent and the after sale service that Liz provided was fantastic. Having lived locally for many years Charles Orlebar Estate Agents came to us highly recommended from many folk (as the all 5 star Google reviews here attest) so we had no hesitation instructing them to act for us. Our experience (as sellers of a property) was no exception; George and Liz are an absolute delight to deal with; professional, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and most importantly for us, great communications; prompt and informative responses ensured we were always up to date regarding every aspect of the sale.

What's not to like? Whilst our property maybe took a little longer that we had anticipated for it to sell (and for clarity, in no way is this attributed to Orlebars; more to do with the property type and current market forces) we were never minded to dispense with their services nor look for another agent such was our satisfaction with them.
