Sarah who works there may have other skills but customer service is definitely not one of them. Very rude and quite unpleasant to deal with. When the heating and hot water broke for the umpteenth time on the day the snow arrived, 1 day after an engineer had been out to fix a previous issue, her manner towards our considerable distress was quite untoward and basically couldn't care less. Lived in the property for just over 2 years, paid the rent on time and improved the garden only to be given a bill for garden maintenance upon our departure, which was disputed by us and turned out in our favour. I wouldn't use them again. Very unprofessional and with poor customer service.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! If I could give zero stars, I would. Sarah is quite possibly the rudest, most unprofessional "manager" I have EVER encountered. SO rude, SO obnoxious. Landlords - please consider other local agencies to help rent your property, there are so many other great ones in town and Shorts are definitely not one of them! If you want your property well looked after with good tenants, go elsewhere. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

(This review is a 0/5 stars) I feel that Sarah treated me unfairly due to my young age. Waiting for a week to get a cooker fitted under the electrical pannel (against being told by hughs that the pannel needs to be moved first) I was told that it would give me a reason to go home to my parents for meals (in a derogatory manner) Ive had many issues with shorts regarding safety and money. Don't waste your time with these people. Shorts non property people.

I have recently lived at a Shorts property, very happily and without incident for four years. I have looked after the property and even improved it by installing plumbing and electrics for a dishwasher at my own expense. My circumstances changed and I have moved closer to my new job so unfortunately needed to vacate the property. I have found the whole departure of the property very unprofessional and uncaring.
Due to poorly fitting and poor quality flooring in the kitchen when my appliances were moved by professional movers the flooring moved and unfortunately tore, this was due to the flooring not being properly fitted and stuck down. Having explained this to the company they have proceed to charge me an extortionate amount of my security deposit when the same flooring can be brought online for 35.
I feel very let down and disappointed in this rental company. The flooring according to manufacturers recommendations that it should be resealed annually - this was not done. When a replacement shower was fitted the electrician also informed me that the electrics were unsafe and needed re-wiring. This was never done. Thank god for DPS and my money being protected I will be taking this further with a view of receiving the money that they have taken from me.

I have now been with shorts for 9 months and I think they are great. Totally the opposite to the review below. I had been here a few months and unfortunately my Nan passed away so I had to take on one of her puppies. I got in touch with Shorts and she proceeded to contact our landlady. We came up to a joint agreement of an additional monthly charge and an extra 100 deposit and signed a new agreement.
I have had two routine inspections now and they have both been fine. Communication was totally cool and the inspections took place while I was at work; to my request as I couldn't get home for them. I would gladly deal with them again.

Extremely rude and sarcastic lady that works there. Also falsely advertises properties. Me and my fiance took interest in a property, due to it saying 'pets accepted, 100 per pet' we have two dogs and find it very difficult to find a property due to this. So when we saw this description we jumped at the chance, and asked to view it. The lady huffed down the phone when I mentioned I had 2 dogs, said they would rather wait and see who else applies and not give us any chance as hasn't been on the market long.
Most agencies would say 'I will ring the landlord and put your interest across, let him know what pets you have and will get back to you' but no she wrote us off completely. No apology, nothing. My other half rung shortly after, she said that our breed of dog is 'large, aggressive and destructive' she's actually a medium sized dog, soppy and sleeps 24/7, so quite the opposite lol.
She is a siberian husky and good as gold. She sniggered down the phone, and was arguing back, she just so shockingly rude! We have seen and heard many people complain about this company and that particular lady (the old one) so it came to no surprise we received similar treatment. I then had her daughter messaging me on Facebook telling me to grow up, and that I am a liar and to complain to her face.
