Shared House/HMO - Landlord Review We are very happy with the service we have received from Bothams and the lettings team. A huge thank you to Jodie Elliott who has taken the lead in helping us let our shared house. Jodie has been professional, organised and efficient, whilst being friendly and personable too. Jodie has kept us well informed regarding applications, in addition to promptly liaising with tenants when we have required access to the property. Jodie has taken time to get to know us and what type of people we are seeking to create a happy home for our tenants.

I can't express my gratitude enough for the outstanding personal care and service that Bothams, especially Shani, gave to us during a very difficult time. Due to a sudden illness I needed to rent a property to relocate my parents back to Chesterfield to be near the rest of their family as quickly as possible. Rude!, after calling up, making an offer at the asking price on an unseen property and then being told they will discuss it - rather than putting it forward to the seller. Told they would get back to me and haven't. Really shocked and disappointed.

Haven't dealt with them for long and still to secure a property but Jodie has been great at quickly responding to my communications and requests so can't ask for more at the stage I'm at. Fingers crossed I find the right property but looking forward to the journey with Bothams.

I asked to view a property, I was given a starting time and opted for the first appointment that was offered, 2:15. I was then told that appointment wasn't available and offered 2:30, I replied after a little while as I was busy at work and was then told that appointment wasn't available either. If someone asks for an appointment at 2:15 and that isn't available but 2:30 is don't you think common sense could have prevailed here?

Having enquired about the availability of electrical testing work on Bothams rental properties, Jodie Elliott quickly responded in a very polite manner. Would very much look forward to working with this company in the future.

Bothams offers good quality service for the most part, they are professional to an extent and I barely had any issues when it comes to communication. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is because before renting from Bothams I had to send a form with all my details for them and the landlord to review so they can decide if I could be rent a property from them.

On those documents I obviously had to include all of my personal information. I was succesful so they sent me the rent agreement and other paperwork and on every single one on which they put my name and not left a blank space for me to fill in, my name was misspelled. I contacted them and asked for that to be corrected. It was, only on one document. Asked again about others, the lady that was taking care of it erased my name everywhere because I guess that was easier than correcting the mistake.

The only reason the mistake even happened is because in my email my name is spelled differently. So scratch the official form signed by me stating my full legal name, if my email spells my name differently then I must've made a mistake, right? Pretty sure that one of my official renting documents still has my name misspelled on because I just couldn't be bothered to ask her to change if for the Nth time. As I said, professional to an extend with fairly good communication.

Not had any luck with finding a home yet but Jodie has been really good with setting up viewings and sending through applications, she is really understanding and flexible and she always calls in the morning on the day of viewing to confirm that it's going ahead.

Absolutely appalled at the quality of service I have received from Bothams, I am still waiting for a call back from Andrew he said he was going to call me ASAP and that was two weeks ago! I put in an offer for a shop after I had a viewing they then declined the offer and wouldn't allow me to view the premises again or put in another offer. Belinda keeps avoiding me telling me it's not available when I know for a fact it is as I got someone els to call to enquire about it on my behalf. This isn't treatment I would expect from a professional Estate agents!

Disgusted my mother has rented a property 24 years through bothams always taking care of her own maintenance and repairs other than recents issues with the boiler and now at the grand old age of 82 has been given 8 weeks notice to get out through no fault of her own. Ruth informed my mother they were visiting for insurance valuation and then served her notice. Leaving her devastated and bothams not returning calls to the family. Now Seeking professional advice.
