Harveys of Mere Green are a highly successful and greatly respected property firm that was formed in 2001 by Charles Thursfield BSc (Hons) MNAEA. Since then Harveys has grown to form a one stop property business that covers sales, lettings, property management, new homes and professional work. Harveys is a privately owned and award winning independent Estate Agent owned by Charles Thursfield.
Charles, who launched Harveys, back in 2001 has been at the office in Mere Green since 1996. Having over 20 years' experience in property, Charles was born in Four Oaks and has a wealth of knowledge of the local area. He wanted to create a one stop property firm to cover sales, lettings and professional matters whilst having the client and customer at the centre of everything they do.

We have purchased a property through Harveys. I must say Charles has been absolutely amazing from start to finish. He is fair, responsive and highly professional with his service. We had a lot of estate agents round to give their ideas on how to proceed with our property which was a tricky one. Some we met were chancers, some were clearly regurgitating their learnt script, some gushed over the charm of what was very neglected 1970s decor, some talked of 'deals' they might be able to do and some were a bit too serious and lacking personality.
Of them all, Charles of Harvey's stood out as the most professional by far, but also as someone who had a heart and cared very much about his business and his clients. He said he would be personally responsible for the sale, and he was. He was involved with the sale throughout and was always available and always knew exactly what was going on and dealt with any problems or queries immediately; nothing was too much trouble.
He secured buyers and a price well over the asking was attained. He has a calm, capable and reassuring manner. As the whole process ran so smoothly, from our viewpoint anyway, I can't really say much about the rest of the Harvey's team except that I have no doubt that they will work to the same standard as Charles himself. Charles was also able to help us find a solicitor and house clearance companies who I would recommend. Essentially, he sold an unusual property for a very good price without any doubts or worries on our part. I would firmly recommend Harvey's and if I had another property in the area to sell I would not consider any other agent.

I got the tenancy but was told that after signing the agreement I was now directly involved with the landlord and that the letting agents no longer have anything to do with this property. It's been a terrible place to move to and the goings on. I told the landlord I want my money back and I will vacate along with my removals cost's. He was out of the country, lost his sim card and has asked for the removal receipt which I got and I have not heard a thing yet.

Excellent all round service from Harveys. From the day we put our house on the market to completion was a speedy 9 week process. Whilst a small independent they proved a faultless, very personal property service to us from start to finish, we were given regular updates throughout, they have a small supportive and dedicated team who made sure it was a stress free process. Highly recommend.
