We are observing social distancing and ask clients to only visit the office if this is the only way they can conduct their business with Hobdays. If you are returning contracts/paperwork we ask if this can be put through the letter box rather than come into the office. Our staff will advise you which of our clients will require you to wear a mask when making the appointment initially. Our objective is to ensure that all clients, both corporate and individuals receive the highest standard of service at all times.
Andrew started working as an estate agent in 1983. He has worked for several independents and corporate estate agents and took ownership of Hobdays Estate Agents in 2000. Having worked in the industry for many years Andrew has experienced all aspects of the market and has the knowledge and experience to deal with these ever changing conditions.
Hobdays letting and management division has successfully complimented the sales team for many years. Whether it is your principal home that you wish to let or if you are fortunate enough to have investment properties, choosing the right agent is crucial. We believe in building long-term relationships with our clients and this has proved very successful. We are members of the Property Redress Scheme thus ensuring we adhere to a code of practice.
Listed below are all fees you as a tenant will be liable for prior to letting a property from Hobdays. Holding Fee- 250 - This is deducted from the first months' rent upon a tenancy commencing. If the tenants fail to occupy the property due to the fault of the tenant(s) then a admin fee of 250.00 becomes payable.

I have been renting my house through Hobdays for 7 years. I am extremely satisfied with both the speed and quality of the service. I would like to personally highlight Nikki Millard, who responsible for my house. She interpreted all my requests to the landlord in a way that they were listened to. This is how I got a new huge terrace, new carpet on the stairs, and the fence and front door painted in a colour I liked. The landlord either paid the costs or most of them. If I move to another place, I'll have to take Nikki with me :D

Claire was just amazing, she did her very best in every way to help. Selling a house in the middle of Covid was so very stressful, but Claire came up trumps. She keeps you in the loop, is calm headed and fair in judgement. She knows her job inside out and does her very best for you, an absolute bonus to Hobdays.

We chose Hobdays to sell our house 10 years after our purchase through them and were extremely happy with our decision. Clare, Karen & Gemma in the sales team were great - proactive, responsive and professional through a difficult market. Their valuation was accurate, feedback straight forward and honest and buyers were introduced swiftly. Clare (who handled our purchase too!) kept up communication throughout the transaction keeping everyone informed and comfortable! A great local business, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Appeared helpful at first. Proceeded to spam my email almost daily with property updates only to say they had found 0 properties applicable. Contacted months in advance on renting to ensure we were applying in the right time frame. Then told several months later that we were too late and most properties had gone. No will to help customers from my point of view, no idea how they are surviving. Apparently a criteria of 'two students wanting a two bed house' was unlikely to result in any luck finding a property.

I bought and sold with Hobdays 8 years apart and theres a reason I went back. they were great! I got valuations from other estate agents in Potters Bar and some promised rediculous prices to get my listing only to know it wouldn't get that price. Always professional, friendly and best of all they all are happy to help even if it's not their sale or instruction listing. Knowledgeable in the area and no pressure.

Being an experienced buyer of property for many years in this area I can say I've been using Hobdays for over 10 years. The sales team, Claire Garnet in particular is brilliant. No timewasting she grasps what you want straight away and does not give you properties you clearly don't want. This agent is not commission hungry and pushy like other local agents in the area, these guys actually give a monkey. Properties are priced realistically and sellers get decently vetted buyers.
If you are planning to buy or sell I would strongly recommend using them as they are by far the best local Potters Bar agent in town! I have used their lettings division in the past and I had no issues.
