Kivells can be traced back to 1885 when William Thomas Kivell set himself up in business as an auctioneer and land agent, first in Pyworthy and then in Holsworthy. What follows is an account of the Kivell family over four generations in the development of the firm of Kivells, from its origins as a one-man business in the late nineteenth century to its position today as one of the leading firms of Auctioneers, property agents and chartered surveyors in the West Country.
Kivells operate 3 of the leading livestock markets in Devon and Cornwall, located at Exeter, Holsworthy and Hallworthy together with farm sales and private treaty sales. Our sales calendar contains lists of all types of auctions including fat & store stock; cattle, sheep, dairy, pigs; pedigree and breed society sales; machinery, equestrian, poultry, grass keep, fodder and straw/crop.
All upcoming Livestock, Deadstock, Fodder and Household Furniture sales will appear here and are updated regularly. This will include all regular, Breed and special Livestock sales at Exeter, Holsworthy and Hallworthy markets and disposals at client's premises. It also provides links to Catalogues, Notice to Purchasers and other essential information for Sellers, Buyers and all attendees.
All persons entering Kivells Livestock Market Premises and on farm Livestock Sales are required to comply with the current Biosecurity Legislation rules and conditions and obey the Biosecurity Notices posted in multiple locations in the market, on farm Livestock Sale premises, set out in any sale catalogue and any Auctioneers announcement.

Sadly let down by the salesman who did not turn up at the agreed time for a viewing at a property that I had driven 300 miles to view and spent 225 in accommodation costs. I also asked for a plan showing the outline of the plot for sale more than a week ago and have still not received it. I feel thoroughly undervalued by Kivells as a customer and potential buyer.
If you arrange a viewing with this office, insist on a confirmatory email from them regarding the viewing time and place so that the salesman has no excuse when he does not turn up. I have certainly not received "outstanding customer service" - quite the opposite.
