Great improvement. New sheds and better laid out goods. Still not somewhere to take a pushchair (but still they come). Staff are very helpful and the older staff very knowledgeable. Young members of staff are like startled rabbits if you ask them anything. Good range of items for sale, nice specialist sales always worth looking out for. Large car parks. Gets very crowded on machinery days. I like the online bidding, very easy to do and live bidding (unlike other local auction houses) all in all well done clarke and simpson.

Photos online for browsing are not the best so you don't always know what you are bidding on so if you are spending some money go take a look. Auction items are in various warehouses for browsing. I believe you can place a bid there but I have only done it online. Staff are friendly. Can get busy in narrow walk ways.

I have previously bought and sold with Clarke and Simpson Auctions and it has always been a pleasure doing so. They hold sales every Monday throughout the year which contains a large variety of household and general items, not to mention the special sales they host such as Farm Machinery, Art Deco, Rural and Domestic Bygones & Fine Art sales! Would highly recommend!

Was going to take my stuff to the dump, but took it here instead. Bought but never sold before. Office and site staff really helpful. You do have to book a date to deliver your stuff, usually a couple of weeks hence. Dark furniture doesn't sell and they won't take it. Made several hundred pounds. Well worth the effort.

I have many thoughts about my experience yesterday.mostly I regret not finding the Auction room that sold off Alice in Wonderland Characters but now I have dates for upcoming fine Art and Collectibles. The canteen was regrettable! this is putting it mildly. As this is an establishment of repute and a few years old I feel that they are abusing the priveledge of this captive audience that the Auction House provides.

The food was appalling, cold, bacon that was more like beef jerky, cake that had been sliced and wrapped in cling film.not with finesse at all. A sorry mess. I have been out in a field on a farm with tastier, better prepared, more hygienic food from a Burger Van type business. I feel upset at having to give this honest but damming review.
