First contact was viewing for a house in Banbridge. Arrived in good time only to receive a call that the keys to the property had been left behind or mislaid and that it would be up to half hour before the viewing could occur. Luckily another set was found and the viewing occured but l should have taken this as an omen; that and what seemed to this layperson to be the overinflated prove of the house, described in the promo literature as both a period home and having been built in 1964. I should have taken that as an omen too. Next property was in Rathfriland and first contact about that yeilded an out of date automated message about not being back in the office until after July 16. My two replies to the message went unheeded, as dis a couple of later voicemail. Finally got a call back saying they were desperately busy, which in fairness I'm sure is true. To condense the rest, either calls to the agent handling the property went unanswered though I was told the property had running legal dispute and that there was an offer in though the website didn't have Under Offer but For Sale. Note: l was doing all this on post op morphine and didn't need any further confusion. Spoke to agent handling property who still couldn't tell me what the legal matter was - fair enough - and that the person who made the offer hadn't been able to move forward. (Still no Under Offer on the property details). Ended up booking a viewing for Friday 3 August at 11.15 and got my ass up at 6.00 in the morning - on morphine - to catch the bus and was two minutes towards the end of a 148 minute journey when Caroline rang to say they wouldn't be doing any viewings until next week as they wanted to give the the person making that offer the extra time. She also said this had been explained to me (news to me) and when l pointed out l had a text confirming the viewing, sent after our call, answer came there none. Neither did the word "Sorry" nor a reason for why she calling an hour before our agrreef viewing time if it had been explained to me there would be no viewings until the other buffet had their extra week. The only way l can imagine this being worse or any more unprofessional is if Shooters was handling my own property - perhaps they'd been turning away viewers on that too.

Looking for a rental house, took half a day off, drove 50 miles return, paid 20 application fee and the next day received an e-mail saying that the landlord decided to sell the house instead of renting it. Wrote back asking a refund of the application fee as it turned useless, never got any reply. I understand the agency can't help if a landlord changes his mind but the minimum is to get back to the potential tenant with a clear answer on the reimbursement.

Maurice Fegan and Julie-ann Jordan in the Newry team have been terrific in helping us move home - selling one property and facilitating us in the purchase of another. Throughout the process, communication has been on point, and plenty of advice and reassurance was given where needed. For agency services I cannot fault their professionalism, willingness to help, and - importantly - delivering the goods!

I must mention in particular that their in-house mortgage brokerage wizard, Connor Doran, saved the day where another broker hit unexpected complications. During a period of delays, Maurice and Julie-ann worked hard to keep everyone in chain informed and reassured. Selling and buying can be a stressful business but in working with Shooter we feel taken care of all the way. Thank you Maurice, Julie-ann, and Connor. You've helped us realise a dream. :

Rang to "confirm appointment" for a viewing 2mins after the agreed time for us to be there. Then had to wait for them to leave the office and drive the 25mins to the property. On previous viewings they have arrived 15mins late and on every occasion have not known what land/outbuildings were included in the sale.
