I've been a tenant via this agency for just over 6 months. From the moment of walking through the front door on the first viewing to our recent inspection, the staff from this company have been warm and friendly while maintaining a professional demeanor. Our house was exactly as advertised, absolutely lovely and in the perfect location for us, and when we had an issue with our plumbing after a cold snap it was resolved quickly.
The staff were flexible around our working hours when it came to viewings and signing for the property, and again when it came to organising the plumber and the inspection. I would wholeheartedly recommend using this agency to anyone.

Buying your first house is never easy but how we were treated by the team at Portfield Garrard & Wright definitely made us feel better about the whole process. Always answered the phone with a polite and welcoming hello. Called you back if they missed your call and apologised, even though it wasn't their fault. As first time buyers we didn't know if the process was taking longer than usually or if there were things we needed to do but they kept us informed and reassured us when we needed it. This was the second time I have been involved in a house transaction with Portfields, once as a buyer and once as a vendor. Having already secured buyers for our property privately, we approached Portfields to ask if they would still manage the private sale. It was truly worth its weight in gold. All of the staff that we dealt with during a particularly stressful sale, involving some issues in the chain, were professional, communicative and went above and beyond to ensure the sale went through. The best estate agents I have used, I've had phone calls and updates all the way through to my moving date, very friendly team, with no hidden costs or extra charges. Alot of estate agents get a bad reputation because they lie and tick boxes that you've no idea about and have hidden charges in small writing, this company have none of that, i really appreciate straight talking people, which is hard to find, I'd highly recommend them.

I cant praise this lettings agency enough. We were looking for a long term let as our home. Came across a property of their website, we contacted portfield garrard and wright and from that moment they were professional, helpful and quick to respond. Dana from lettings side quided us through the process and made everything easy and relaxed. We have been here over a year now, there was an issue with a pvc door lock at one point.
This was dealt with within 24 hours and done at a callout time that suited us. The bi annual inspections are again booked to suit our needs and are completed in a friendly and relaxed manner. If your looking for an estate agent for your needs then i suggest you give this local company a call.

We bought our current property from Portfield's and are now using them as agents to rent out our old home. They are always friendly approachable and helpful. When our first tenants did not leave the carpets or kitchen in the expected state Portfield's negotiated that we kept their bond and pointed us towards tradesmen who fixed the problems providing good quality and value.
The property was turned around and rented out again within a reasonable timescale. Portfield always communicate quickly, professionally and responsively about any issues the Tennant reports so that these can be fixed immediately by our choice of tradesman. They have a bank of reliable trades people that they use regularly who provide good value for money and sort out issues quickly. We are really happy with them and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Fantastic team of professionals who are always polite and helpful. Our sale ran like clockwork! from our initial meeting with Julian, to Helen who handled the viewings and pre sale with great enthusiasm, to then be taken over by Tanya who kept us informed at every step.
