Offered to come to do a valuation on our property. No one turned up. I chased them up and they refused to come out. Offered to do a office based valuation. Then never contacted me

Food was really nice. Kids had a brilliant time in the soft play area, staff were brilliant especially the young man running the soft play area.

Had hall and benson out to value my dads house. They gave me a valuation 15000 higher than another company and James gave me full confidence this could be achieved. A week later and we have just secured an asking price offer. Thank you for everything so far.

Poor communication skills. When I had a issue with the property they never resolved the issue. Been waiting over 2 weeks for money still owed back to me! I think some staff also need a refresher in the work skills and to communicate probably with each other, as the office I gave back my keys to was unaware. Will NEVER rent through Hall and Benson again.

Initially good and put house on market with them with a two week cooling off period in the contract. Subsequently a member of tbe family wanted to buy, so rang to cancel the sale with H and B within a week of the contract. The agent we were dealing with was very unpleasant and tried to say we would still have to pay the fee until reminded about the cooling off period, personally I would not go back. Shame as overall service was very good until this unpleasantness, hence the three stars.

Currently selling a house through hall and benson, no chain, taken 12 months so far. On the 9th Feb was told by hall and benson that the only thing remaining was to set a completion date. After contacting my solicitors the same day they informed me that they had no idea about this and emailed the buyers solicitors immediately, 3 days later and no reply from the buyers solicitors, so I tried calling the person dealing with my sale at hall and benson but they were always busy or out the office, I made numerous phone calls, most went unanswered, alot got diverted to other branches so I left messages with them, also left messages with other colleagues in the Alfreton branch.

Eventually got through on the 2nd March and was told more searches and a new mortgage offer was now required. Why avoid me for 3 weeks? It's definitely not something I'm going to forget or give up on. I'll be collecting the keys first thing tomorrow morning and taking my business else where. Avoid hall and benson, cost me over 250 a month in interest and bills on an empty property.

I had a valuation from hall & benson. I declined as I found it to be ridiculous. I have just sold the property. I have received 35000 more than their valuation and that is after selling it for less than the asking price. So taking into account the usual bartering on price I estimate that I have ended up at least 45000 better off by not selling it with this company.
