We provide marketing across the South East and beyond with maximum reach across all the online marketing platforms. We are specialists in sales, lettings and lettings management and pride ourselves on the high level of customer service we provide to our buyers, vendors, tenants and landlords alike.
With 25 years of experience in estate agency and development opportunities, Peter has been an intrinsic part of the Cockburn Team for over 10 years. With customer service and the ethos of dealing with a 'customer for life' he has the fine balance of traditional estate agency and networking and the more modern digital methods of marketing property.
Selling your property is a stressful time. So here at Cockburn we do our utmost to make the sales process as stress-free as possible. Immediately contact all waiting purchasers on our lists, whose situation conforms to the timing you desire. Inform them that your property is available and encourage them to view.
Once your offer has been accepted on a property you will need to make a reservation payment (holding deposit) of 1 weeks rent. For example if the monthly rent was 1000.00 pcm then the 1 week holding deposit would be 230.00. The payment of a holding deposit is to reserve a property whilst reference checks, collation of documentation and preparation for a tenancy agreement are undertaken.

I bought my house 4 years ago through Cockburn and although they weren't without fault (providing misleading information about the chain being complete to secure their sale) I gave them another chance and instructed them to sell my house as they had the monopoly of the area I wanted to move to. I now wish I had listened to my instincts and gone with a reputable agency.
Before I signed the contract, staff were contactable and couldn't do enough. I was promised that as part of the benefit of going with Cockburn, I'd hear about properties before they went onto the market - to this day not one person from the agency has contacted me about any homes, suitable or otherwise. In fact, when I returned home from the open day Cockburn had organised, I asked the agent what they currently had on the market and he looked at me blankly, explaining he had no idea what I was looking for.
My profile is registered on the books along with my preferences, you're in my home, how are you not even prepared with the basics? I was promised I would get the best price for my home yet before the open day I was pressured into accepting sub-par offers with sob stories from potential buyers. Trying to guilt me into taking a lesser offer is both unfair and wholly unprofessional. Whilst waiting outside my home for the open day to finish, I witnessed multiple families entering and exiting my house.
At no point did Charlie or anyone from Cockburn explain that multiple viewings would take place and I would urge caution to anyone thinking of selling through Cockburn in this way. Their contract states they are not liable for any losses or damages that occur under their "supervision" yet they supervise no one. They allow strangers to wander around your home on their own which is a risk in itself.
I returned home to find my bathroom panel had been removed, the door to the boiler askew and debris in my bath. I called Charlie straight away and he apologised for not putting it back! I asked him what had happened as that was not how I left my bathroom and he claimed "people kept touching it and it kept falling down" which is untrue as the panel is on magnets that require force to remove.
What was clear to me then was that he had let people just walk around my house touching anything they wanted and causing damage. I contacted the director, Sam Ford, with picture evidence and he didn't bother to reply. My dishwasher had been turned on, the shower and thermostat played with and my boiler disturbed. What is so concerning about this lack of supervision is the fact that not only could I have lost valuables, but the gas could have been left on.
I have been advised by multiple professionals to terminate my contract and go with a reputable company and as I have received no communication from Cockburn and no confirmation of an exchange date, I think that will be my next step.

I sold my property through Cockburn estate agents. The team in New Eltham office are fantastic. Everyone that I met was very helpful and respectful when arranging viewings. My property was sold very quickly and then passed to Loveleen who is their Sales Progressor. Loveleen is very good at what she does, she provided me with updates on the progress of the sale, chased solicitors and buyers.
There was not one moment when I was not aware of how the sale was progressing. If I had any problems with the solicitor she dealt with it. It was a painless and stressful experience using Cockburn. Although I have not mentioned everyone by name that does not mean that the rest are not as good, they are all fantastic from the manager down to the staff I met. They definitely know their market and can advise on the best way to present your property to the market.

I have just bought and sold using Cockburn. The team have been fantastic from start to finish. Sam and Charlie conducted viewings and found me a buyer quickly and also found me my new home, they were always friendly and helpful whenever I needed them. Loveleen was amazing at progressing my sale, being on the phone with updates for me and keeping me calm when problems came up. Peter was also so friendly and helpful. This team made my experience at a stressful time such a positive one. highly recommend and would definitely use again.

I cannot praise highly enough the service I have received from the team at Cockburn's. I rented my house through them for several years with a first class service, particularly from Louise, the Letting's Manager who was always on hand to sort any issues. I have just sold my property through Cockburn's and the sales team (Peter, Sam and Steve) are amazing, friendly, diligent and gave an amazing service from start to finish.

I recently sold my house with Cockburn and was very happy with the experience. Sam was always fast in replying to my emails and always available on the phone. I felt really supported throughout the process and felt like Cockburn had my best interests at heart. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

I dealt with Louise when looking for an affordable flat as a single occupant, she pulled all strings to find me my perfect flat, she answered all calls within a few rings and kept me completely up to date, i have never experienced such professional and co operative service. I cannot begin to explain how unprofessional this company is. I am 30 weeks pregnant and on Tuesday I notified my landlord and called my estate agents to let them know of my situation of having to self isolate and as a result - will be retracting my notice to leave until this is over. My landlord had no interest or sympathy what soever and refused to accept my decision to stay because of safety measures.
The Lettings Manager Louise Keynes, at Cockburn New Eltham asked me, Why are you self isolating? You don't need to self isolate unless you have underlying health issues? Your a letting agent yourself, you know how this works. If you don't move out we'll see you in court. I have never been spoken to by someone in the letting industry with such disrespect. Louise Keynes began to raise her voice and continued to be unsympathetic.
Clearly in this instance they have fell far from any type of good customer service. How dare someone tell a vulnerable person what to do in this situation. I am not only disgusted about the way Louise Keynes and Cockburn has treated me but also how there is no sympathy from what is going on in the world.

I recently sold my property through Cockburn and they were a pleasure to deal with. I previously bought the same property through them several years ago too, so after a great experience as a buyer, they were my first port of call as a seller. The team kept me updated regularly and found a committed buyer during a difficult time in the market for sellers. Peter is excellent at managing expectations and his experience is invaluable when dealing with any issues that may arise, be they expected/typical issues or completely unexpected ones.

Overall dealings with Cockburn Estate Agents was very good indeed and very professional. I thought they were attentive and customer focussed and the level of communication with me was excellent. Their process for selling the property was clearly explained and I thought the fee charged was fair and reasonable. I dealt with a number of different individuals and in each of my dealings I was very satisfied with their help.
The sale was made difficult owing to a particularly unhelpful solicitor "down the line" and this led to several occasions when matters became tense. Cockburns made every effort to speed matters along and keep the communication channels open between the interested parties and despite the unprofessional solicitor involved, their efforts were much appreciated. Overall impression excellent Communication excellent Process very good Cost very fair Would I recommend? Yes

Having lived in our house for over 25 years we were a bit worried about what the process of selling our property and purchasing a new one would entail. We needn't have been concerned. Cockburn's have guided us through the whole process. They had our property's pictures on the web within a few days. They were also there to show perspective buyers our home in a professional manner.
All members of the team have been there to take our calls and offer advice. They helped us with finding the right solicitor and also pursued the chain in helping with our completion. A very hands on team. Nothing was too much trouble. I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone. Well done Cockburn's. 10/10. Thank you for everything.
