Paul and Michael are very honest, supportive and highly professional. I recently bought property from Oliver Jaques. I rate very high in terms of customer support. Both know their job and provided high quality of support. In fact, sometime they provided support in out of office hour as well in emergency which is quite rare. I love to consider Oliver Jaques for my next property as well.

I worked with OJ on both the purchase and (later on) the sale of my flat. Tanem and the team in Bow were very knowledgable and helpful as we listed our flat, and got us a good offer several weeks after listing. Rosie in the Surrey Quays office was then an incredible support during the very lengthy completion process (playing the role of both estate agent and conveyancer at times). Would definitely recommend

Avoid at all costs, they'll do anything to avoid giving you your deposit back. Moved out of my flat earlier this year, and they spent a good few weeks trying to argue and get money out of our deposit, despite us having paid for a cleaner for an end of tenancy clean. When trying to justify the extortionate costs taken out of our deposit, they said that they had "kindly not charged us for getting Hyperoptic installed without landlord permission" - to which I forwarded an email from the landlord granting us permission.
They're replying to bad reviews saying that they have no role in deposit deductions and that it is all down to the landlord - clearly a lie, as if they had checked with my (reasonable) landlord, they would have realised this. Charged 200 for a fixed rate for an end of tenancy clean. After arguing and saying I would complain to the DPS, they were then happy to negotiate this "fixed rate" down. Everyone I know who has moved out of an OJ rented flat has had the same issue (at least 5 people).

Christine has been an exceptional property manager of the flat I rent. After a routine inspection earlier in the week, Christine promptly liaised with my landlord and as a result any issues I had were quickly resolved no matter how minor they were. Through her professional yet friendly approach, it was only natural for me to feel valued and understood as a tenant.
I've been renting through Oliver Jaques for over 5 years now and the service just gets better and better - from Gina being my point of contact with the landlord on delicate issues, through to Erika who has always attended to my needs with great attention to detail. And now to top it off, Christine has managed to surpass all my expectations.

I didn't have a problem whilst living at the property for 5 years - any query that I had was always dealt with quickly and easily. Deposit was paid to us and deposit was paid in accordance and in line with the Terms and conditions set out. To be fair, during the pandemic when there were issues we were listened to and given support as to what to do moving forward.

Oliver Jaques were excellent in helping me to purchase my new property. All the team members I interacted with from viewing through to completion were professional, courteous, and incredibly helpful. Really good estate agency, from the beginning until the end of our tenancy (2 years). Serkan for the letting part was really nice and we signed the contract without pressure and everything was simple. Erika, the property manager was always reactive even if we had many issues in the flat we've rent. We really love our stay in the flat and even if everything was not perfect they do their best to satisfy the tenant & the landlord. I recommend to anyone looking a flat to deal with Oliver Jaques.

We've rented a small 1 bedroom flat through Oliver Jacques for 14 months. Everything was fine during the tenancy. But they deducted 350 from our deposit for ridiculous charges at the end although we left the flat in a good state. 45 to change 2 light bulbs (the bulbs were faulty in the first place with many burning out weeks after being replaced by them multiple times during the tenancy).
We did cleaned the flat but they considered it as "domestic cleaning" not "professional" so they charged us 172 for cleaning a 400 sqm flat. They also charged us 133 to unblock the shower although we had no problem using it for months. We are careful and considerate tenants who never had any deductions from many previous tenancies elsewhere. Expect some surprise charges at the end of the tenancy if you want to go through Oliver Jacques.
