Choices Choices was established in June 1989 with a mission to create a new kind of estate agency, one built on a relationship of trust where we could offer our clients all the services they needed under one roof together with the advantages of shorter lines of communication, economies of scale and of course cost effectiveness.

From day one the letting side of Choices Redhill proved to be unprofessional and unreliable. Never returning calls and barely responded to emails. How they can operate a lettings business in such a manner is beyond all comprehension. My tenancy was due for renewal and I owed monies to them for my future rent. In order to pay them I left numerous calls which were not returned, sent multiple emails, all were not responded to.

In the end due to their inconsistent communication payment for my renewal was late as was the renewal. So their strategy seems to be to ignore any responsibilities. In the end I had to ask my landlord to leverage them into responding. Bearing in mind this was in order to pay them. Never once did they apologise for being impossible to deal with, instead they made numerous excuses for their behaviour.

At the end of this sorry business, my landlord ended their contract with them and went to a more professional agency. it's such a shame that this small office seems to be ruining the reputation of Choices.

I would steer clear of them in the future. Beware of them deducting for any false claim they can when they move out. Always inspect the Inventory Check-In and get a copy of it, and be sure to point out every little thing and have it included on it, or be charged on the way out!

I find it hard to believe that anyone could be as downright incompetent and unprofessional as Choices. My father rented his out through them and the whole thing was a nightmare. He was charged twice for the same job, yet to this day the job has never been carried out. In the end he gave notice which despite being sent recorded delivery, and signed for by Choices, they simply ignored and charged him roughly 3,000 in renewal fees.

They ignored his solicitor and the Property Ombudsman, and stopped paying him any rent from the tenants, despite him paying a rent guarantee fee every month. Do yourself a huge favour and avoid Choices like the plague.

Everything with choices is great when you first sign up and during your term with them, it's when you come to the end of your contract, try to change estate agents and get your deposit back is when the problems start. They done us for 700 quid for forgetting to clean the tray in the washing machine, the hinge area on the dishwasher and carpet cleaning throughout whole house on carpet which upon moving in stated on the check in inventory that they were in poor condition with animal hairs.

Also when we moved in there was a bike in the shed belonging to previous tenant, I was told 2 weeks after moving out I was to remove it or be charged, so I happily helped myself to a free bike! Got charged for two inspections when we were in but no one turned up. People beware

The most unproffesional company I have ever delt with, one star is too much! I rented a three bedroom house in crawley with a garage, on moving in I discovered the garage door was broken and beyond repair, the response was we just said there was a garage, not that it was fuctional. I have now left the property but it took SEVEN WEEKS to get my deposit back, I had to escalate the issue to the Managing Director Julian Wells jools@choices.co.uk I would strongly advise everyone not to use Choices, a very very unpleasent experience.
