Druce just sold our lovely period house in the town centre of St Albans. They provided a fantastic "old school" service and worked extremely hard to ensure that our sale was achieved. We've had agents in the past who get the sale agreed and then do nothing further. Not Druce. They worked tirelessly to help get the sale over the line and were not afraid to push and pull where needed to ensure success. The communication style is direct and the advice is excellent. Highly recommended.

As a tenant of a property being sold by Darryl our experience of his dealing with it was that he was professional, compassionate and kept us informed every step of the way.

We had a very negative experience as a buyer from the Druce. Like reviews on other sites, the manager was an arrogant bully, who would shout (mostly at my wife when she had the misfortune to speak to him), threaten to put the property back on the market regularly, and even hung up the phone on one occasion; very unprofessional. He obviously has a clear idea that the best way to sell a property is to bully the seller, which, ironically delayed the process, and if a similar property had become available through a different agent, we would have jumped ship at the first opportunity so as not to have had to deal with him.

I like small, independently owned business and support them whenever I can, but what should be a strength of local knowledge and personalised service, was his biggest weakness. Just for the record, we completed in 7 weeks, were good buyers, and I gave the manager the opportunity to apologise - he shouted get out of my shop!

Looking at the star rating wording - We didn't love "it" - house buying and selling is a huge stress but we have nothing but praise for Druce and Partners. This is our second move using this local firm and I cannot praise them enough. Throughout this difficult process they have been professional, careful and intelligent people. They do the job properly and don't hesitate to help and use their local knowledge and contacts. Excellent - nothing less!
