Longstaff are a long established firm of Chartered Surveyors, Estate Agents, Auctioneers and Valuers who combine both a traditional and modern professional approach to property matters, with the latest technology to offer the best service to our clients. Our diverse range of services, with professional personnel specialising within each department, integrate to offer the best possible advice to suit the clients' requirements. As the country returns to work after the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations, we consider what we have and have not learnt over seventy years of the property market.
Services
Members of the Longstaff family have been selling by auction in Lincolnshire since before 1854, the earliest record that we have found. In the early 1900's we acquired the old established practice of J Cooley & Son who were founded in 1770. Our representation in Spalding moved from the original offices in Herring Lane to our Sheepmarket premises at around the end of the 19th century, at which time we were principally involved as livestock auctioneers with markets in Spalding, Bourne and Stamford, and as Tenantright Valuers, Land and Estate Agents.

4 weeks ago I asked to apply for one of them properties, they said We Will call you in the coming week to book a view and then if i like it I can apply for it. So every Day I was calling them and they said yes sure We Will call you as soon as possible. That never happened. In the end of everything they said to me its already under application. And 3 days before that they said to me over the phone dont worry as you was the first inetersted one We Will take your application first.they Did not do it. What the hell? Called to book a viewing for a rental property two months ago. Lovely lady on the phone. The agent who showed us the house was nowhere near as helpful, though. Knew nothing about the house, dodged my questions, either deliberately refused to answer one or didn't hear it to begin with, had all the enthusiasm of a lamp-post, and made us feel awkward. Too bad, because the house itself ticked most boxes. Two hours later, we viewed a cheaper one in the same area, and applied for it the same day.
