Steps Estate Agents

My own experience with steps was brilliant. Their agents are very kind and polite. We bought recently our first home through them. They show me the property couple of months before and even when we had some problems with taking a loan from the bank they were kind and advice us what can we do to not loose the property. They have very nice mortgage adviser too but will not force you to use.

You can use your own broker if you wish so. The agency is really nice. I was really happy with their service. I can really recommend this agency to everyone who want to buy a home.

An absolutely shocking experience! It seems Steps accept the offers from a number of bidders at the same time (without you knowing, they are dealing with a few buyers in the background, who are all booking property surveys, for which they are paying at least 200). Apparently, our owner was 'too sensitive' to the negotiations to knock a few thousands down after the survey showed the property is worth 20K less.

As Richard states he (Richard) was doing everything possible, but magically took the other person's offer without the final warning call to us saying: 'Either you are going for your initial bit or the owner is going for another buyer.' Instead he just called and said that another offer was accepted and ours - rejected (in the middle of the process!).

I wouldn't be surprised if in the process of finalising the purchase, this agency would call you and say: 'Sorry, but your property has already been sold to another buyer!' You can only imagine what a waste of 5-6 months and thousands of pounds that would have been! So unprofessional and unreliable! I would recommend to avoid this agency!

This company has been amazing. From the moment of contacting them, coming round evaluating the property, so professional and helpful. Earnest was the person who welcomed us to this company. This is our first time dealing with any estate agents, and I would reccomend them every time. Sev has been beyond astounding. She answers every question, she is so helpful.

She has put our mind at ease at every stage, even when things went wrong. She went above and beyond with dealing with our sale. As a whole, the company has been amazing, supportive and you really couldn't ask for a better company. Thank you so much. We are over the moon.

Absolutely outstanding, Peter Franklin is an absolute star in fact the whole team are. From start to finish they went above & beyond & dont just cut you off the moment you have a sale, they maintain contact to ensure everything is on track. What can I say? Steps has been amazing throughout my property sale. I can't find any fault at all. Sev, Kevin, Richard and the guys over there have been brilliant - supportive, communicative, in daily contact with updates, proactive, and friendly. Top class service. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I used Jon, Andrea and Charlotte from the Collier Row branch (looks like its closed now) to sell my flat about a year ago. I can't speak for the dagenham branch but as its the same company, i just wanted to say the three of them pushed through an extremely difficult sale, achieved me an offer above asking price, in less than 10days of the flat being on the market and went completely above and beyond for me. I was extremely grateful for them and would not hesitate to recommend, their communication and hard work was 10/10 x

I have had a very stressful 7 months of dealing with my mothers move. Steps have been so helpful especially Sev who has been there every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without you and with definitely be recommending your company to others.

I recently completed on the purchase of a flat which was with steps. Throughout the process I dealt with Sev who was absolutely fantastic. She is very professional yet feels so very approachable and warm and understanding regarding the whole process. She was very active in chasing for updates and at times I would find out more information from Sev than from my own solicitor. I highly recommend this agency, staff very nice, friendly, approachable and professional.

I wanted to take this opportunity in thanking Peter and Kevin for assisting me and my wife in purchasing our first property. We started looking in late Jan (21), and I was nervous if we would make it in time for the Stamp Duty deadline. We have just exchanged today (02/03) and we still have a whole month left to spare. Steps have a nice team of very talented people. Nicola initially showed us the property and went out of her way, to even drop us by the train station!. We had not made up the mind to buy the house by then!, they definitely care about their customers. Eventually we had good communication with Richard, he is a nice and friendly guy & did his best to push things forward for us when they were stuck. Overall they have a nice team with expertise in specific areas - I would definitely recommend going with Steps if you wish to Buy/Sell any property.
