R M English is a family run business and I have been involved with the company for over 30 years. I am a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer and deal with a wide range of agricultural, commercial and residential work. During a lengthy career as a Chartered Surveyor, I have had the opportunity to advise clients on a wide range of property matters, both commercial and residential. The main attraction of working in property is the inter relationship of people and buildings and the potential to improve the environment in which they live or work.

I was very impressed with Ally and Jenna from the Pocklington Office. Ally was very professional and knowledgeable when advising me about renting my house out. She knows all the up to date rules and regulations that a Landlord needs to know. Which was very helpful to me. Ally and Jenna did the viewings and always gave me feedback on how they went.

We used RM English to sell our home, and was looked after by James. From the beginning, he went above and beyond whilst dealing with the various parties involved, including us, several sets of conveyancing solicitors and our buyers. He even made himself available out of hours for our buyers in order to keep things on track, through to the sale. Its fair to say that the process hit a few hurdles as these things sometimes do, but James kept us sane for which we are very grateful. We have no hesitation in recommending RM English to others.

The worst rental company with a disgusting habit of not telling you the truth on renting a house watch out for the small print especially when youve paid your rental money promptly, they forget to tell you such facts as even if you move out of the property before you time is up your still liable for the rent and the council tax, even when the owner puts the house up for sale and sells it within that period of your tenancy your paying for. this is apparently law, also who forgets to tell you on accepting the rental property that the owner lives next door and rakes through your bins. there service is a disgrace. Instead of you being there customer and in todays climate see you more as a cash cow, Stay away from this company

Just purchased a house with the help of R M English Pocklington. They have been the best part of the whole experience! Friendly, informative, professional and helpful to mention but a few qualities. A special mention to Claire who has gone above and beyond helping chase things and keeping us very well informed. Excellent customer service and pleasant to talk to. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The wife and family and i moved from Hutton Cranswick to Market Weighton on Friday 30-07-2021. the house we bought was sold by RM English. During the process we had no ( very little ) support from our solicitors. If it had not been for Claire Kendra and the team we would have been in the dark about the whole move. They kept us informed each step of the way and went over and above what they did for us.
I know this sounds outrageous but its very true. I would recommend them to anyone who is buying a property they were great. Thank you all at RM English Steve and Donna Wardill

Claire went above and beyond to support our home move even though we were not her vendors but part of the chain. Her regular updates were invaluable as was the dogged determination to move the chain on for her client. She was positive, informative and its fair to say we had more contact with Claire than our own agents. Claire was instrumental in supporting a tricky situation on the day of thr move which we are extremely grateful for.

RM English were exceptional in our house sale which had numerous complications along the way. Claire Kendra was fantastic she informed us of every process she was in touch at least weekly and without her support and dedication our house sale would not have been completed.
