I had been renting a property with crofts for 1 1/2 years. We have dealt with constant problems such as mould on the walls, boiler breaking down causing electricity to trip. Since January we went a total of 6 weeks without heating and hot water and having to struggle to get any compensation. I would report the boiler broken and two days later I would have to chase it to be told they are waiting for the landlord to respond.
Not good enough this should be sorted within 24th hrs. Finally we were in a position to purchase our own home and move out. When we handed in our notice we had constant viewings everyday at the property while we were still living there and even let themselves in when we were home! We also had people just turn up saying they were with crofts when in fact an estate agent wasn't present at the time After we left the premise we were forced to pay the full months rent even though we were there for two weeks and a new tenant was moving in during the period we were paying for.
They have tried to claim our full deposit within that list of reasons claiming that a spotlight replacement costs 80! You can just buy a bulb for 5 from Tesco. Most of our furniture had mould growth on the back and inside along with clothes and furniture having a bad dusty smell. This was our first time renting and was an awful experience

My son has just purchased a property through Crofts and I have mostly dealt with the sale whilst he's been away. We had a 5 experience with them and would definitely recommend them. Amazing service for my son and partner on renting their new home. Bekki dealt with everything from start to finish, keeping in contact with us with any queries and updating us regularly. Actually was moved in within ten days, also Lindsay the viewing agent gave great advice to them with it being there first rental and was knowledgeable and helpful, fantastic service made so easy nothing was too much trouble

We recently moved home and Crofts Estate Agents dealt with both the selling and buying of our properties. All done professionally with ease of correspondence making the procedures very simple and easy to aid the move. A special mention must be made to Michelle who dealt with the purchase of our new build home. I recently sold my property using Crofts. The service I received, from start to finish, was nothing but professional. From the staff who completed the initial valuation, through to the person taking the photos, the staff who accompanied buyers on visits, office staff and the branch manager, there were no exceptions in the service received. There were twists and turns in my sale, and it took a little longer to get to completion than desired (not at the fault of Crofts). However, Hannah, the branch manager navigated this with the most friendly manner and approach, liaising with all stakeholders and keeping me informed every step of the way. Thank you for the great service you provided. I'm glad I chose Crofts.

I'd like to start by saying there were no issues whilst in the property and I thought Crofts were a professional and reliable company. However upon us serving notice because we successfully gained a mortgage, Crofts trespassed not once, but twice! Both times were put down to 'Human error' and was treated continuously with disrespect. They caused me high amounts of stress until leaving the property.
They are now claiming in any angle possible to keep a deposit for things that were highlighted back in 2019 to them via email. This has been emailed back to them to provide proof since they advised they were going to investigate this. Again, this has been disregarded, not even acknowledged by the team. And it seems the inventory was never corrected back in 2019 as I was informed it was.
Another 'human error' which we are now being charged for. This is of course being disputed via the DPS but causes unnecessary stress, just because we chose to vacate the property. The landlord also at the start of tenancy gave a great impression, attending the home and providing his details if any issues occur. Even complaining numerous times himself about Crofts incompetence.
And yet now not interested because we have vacated and he would prefer to line his own pocket. The list of incompetency could go on. But we get the point. Crofts was great up until we wanted to own our own property. It's sad and the things they have done are in fact illegal. But we all learn lessons, this being to avoid Crofts.
