With over 25 years Estate Agency experience in Southwick, Shoreham and Portslade, Andrew Hyman is the founding partner of Hyman Hill. He is the driving force behind the company, as well as taking an active role in developing the business. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending his spare time cycling along the South Coast and playing in poker tournaments both here and abroad.

Emma and the team were amazingly helpful and provided a great service for us when we wanted to sell our house. Everyone at Hyman Hill were very quick to respond to all of our queries and keep us up to date with all the developments throughout the process. We felt Emma always gave us and the buyers direct, open and transparent advice about the sale at all times.

My wife and I found a gorgeous home to rent in Southwick. 3 bedrooms, right between the Green and train station, a place to set up and start a family for a few years before maybe buying our own place. Having made all this clear in our initial look around, Hyman Hill mis-sold us a "long-term lease", first offering a 6-month lease with a promise of renewal.
We moved everything we owned into the property, including the piano from my parents' house, knowing we'd be setting up a life here, at least for a little bit later. Six months later, we found out we'd been lied to - the landlord was selling, and Andrew Hyman, the proprietor, found every slippery way to avoid responsibility - even to the extent of pretending not to hear my complaints while we were on the phone.
We enabled viewings until COVID hit, then self-isolated to protect ourselves as per government guidelines. Hyman threatened us with eviction around mid-June, refusing to do so in writing, before withdrawing the threat due to its lack of enforceability through the courts at that point in time. He was inspecting our home without protective gear, showing no remorse or acknowledgement for doing so.
He delivered the threat with a smile on his face. He disguised the withdrawal as having convinced the landlord we were 'model tenants' and this was 'a bad time to sell'. Of course he hadn't. I managed to successfully predict when our eviction notice would land TO THE DAY - confirmation that no word from Hyman Hill can be trusted. Luckily, we'd pre-empted the snakiness and found an alternative property, giving counter-notice on the day. I can safely say that the actions of Hyman Hill destroyed our year even worse than COVID did, and if you're considering renting with them, don't.

My partner and I bought a house that was marketed by Hyman Hill. The communication throughout the process was easy and they were always available to answer questions. Emma & Katie were very friendly and did their best to guide us through the different steps of the process and helped us to arrange access to the property to have quotes completed before the completion of the sale.

Our family had a wonderful experience recently with the team at Hyman Hill, most notably Emma and Katie. By a mile, the best and most efficient estate agents I have ever dealt with. I found both Emma and Katie to be approachable, professional and committed to keeping us on track, even when there were the inevitable little bumps in the process. Cannot recommend enough!

Hyman Hill Estate and Letting agents Southwick Team have been excellent in fully managing a let on my behalf, and in also selling 3 properties over the past 3 years. When managing a let for two elderly and frail relatives they worked hard to ensure that everything was done without bother to them and found perfect tenants. Andrew Hyman and Emma Downes are very knowledgeable, approachable and highly professional.
They communicated really well with me and also with other professionals involved in my let and sales and go above and beyond to ensure the best outcome. They have a very human touch that gives them the edge on corporate chains. I can not recommend them highly enough.
