Sky Blue Homes

This is the worst estate agent that I have known. They just benefit the landlord but do nothing for the tenant. They don't have any professional people in the office because they don't deal with complaints straight away. If you give them any issues that you have in the house they take ages to answer your email. I am really disappointed with their service.

They have some friendly good staff but generally when you make a complaint it doesn't get followed through. Instruction from the estate agents to their contractors doesn't get properly relayed which results in multiple visits and wasting tenants time. I ended up replacing and repairing items myself in the end. Not the best estate agents but not the worst.

POSITIVES FIRST Rav was ultra-helpful the whole way through my daughter's tenancy and a credit to Sky Blue - thank you for all your help. NEGATIVES Sky Blue undertook a "Check-In Inventory" but this was never given to the tenants when they moved in - not ideal but given it was amid lockdown, genuine mistakes can happen. It only came to light at the end of the tenancy when a "Check-Out Inventory" provided that we found out that in fact, the windows had no working locks throughout the 12 months my daughter lived in the property.

Sky Blue has confirmed that the Landlord (POCKLINGTONS WALK LTD) would have been made aware of this when the "Check-In Inventory' was produced but given the same comment re. the window locks were made on the "Check-out Inventory" it's safe to assume the Landlord decided their tenant's safety was less important than their finances. Would I recommend Sky Blue?

On balance, yes I would. They didn't get everything right but hey, what letting agent does. Would I recommend you rent any property in Leicester that is owned by POCKLINGTONS WALK LTD? Unless you like the idea of your son/daughter staying in Uni digs that anyone could break into at any time - it's a no from me.

As a landlord with 4 properties I've dealt with plenty of people in 'the business'; thank goodness for Sky Blue Homes. I can't see myself using anyone else now, they are so helpful, efficient and prepared to go the extra mile for their clients. I recommend them to anyone and everyone and am proud to do so. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

I rented from this agency for my 2nd and 3rd year at uni. I was quite nervous about not living in student accommodation but I couldn't fault the experience. Really helpful staff and would recommend them for student properties.

They have successfully stolen 410 from me by claiming I had not paid rent that I had paid. Even though I went through the My Deposit scheme and proved I had paid for the periods they claimed were missing, I did not provide bank statements for the entire 4.5 year tenancy, and so it was 'unproven'. It's a devastating amount to lose. Also, at the start of the pandemic, I was behind in rent by one month and they threatened me with eviction, even though eviction is not legal in this circumstance, there was a pandemic, and they did not have the support of the landlord. I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night. Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be bullied, gaslit and robbed.

My experience with Sky Blue Homes was the absolute worst. They gave me a house that was was under renovation saying that it was going to be ready by the time I arrived and it was not ready at all. We had huge issues with moisture which lead to a gigantic spread of mould all over the house. I had to throw away every single piece of clothing I had because the smell of mould would not go away. They never got back to me on any issue even tho I complained multiple times. I wouldn't recommend this agency to my worst enemy.

I have been a tenant at this agency for nearly 5 years, and I love their professionalism and effective service. If I had any problems with the property, they always took care of it quickly and efficiently. I would definitely, 100% recommend this agency. The maintenance was always excellent.

Quite easily the worst company I have ever dealt with. Were awful to communicate with the entire time we lived in our house, problems were never dealt with promptly. We were given a rent reduction in January as compensation for many of the issues we encountered in only our first 3 months of being tenants. Now in July, the company is demanding us to pay this rent instead retracting their decision to give us a reduction.

We as students have no financial income especially during the coronavirus outbreak whereby it is difficult to find a job. The house was incredibly dirty when we moved in and sky blue homes take barely any responsibility and instead suggest to deal directly with your landlord who is completely useless himself and continuously let himself into our house with no notice nor any permission.

In a house full of girls this was not ideal. Absolutely awful company who do not care about the tenants at all. Would not recommend them to anyone and would suggest to stay away. AWFUL ( EDIT : I think you'll find we informed you many times of the landlord coming over unannounced and I would love to see the proof of professional cleaners coming anywhere near that building )

I've been a tenant with Sky Blue Homes since I have started university (three years ago). The maintenance team have been incredible with any issues I have had during my stay in one of their student accommodations, once had an issue with my heating and they swiftly came and issued a fix immediately. Staff are very friendly and welcoming too.

Great staff, Noreen especially. Noreen was made aware of a situation I had and moved mountains to make sure I moved in to my home to meet a tight move out deadline. Thank you so much Noreen, so friendly, so kind. Will definitely be using this whole team again!
