Services
The business has been operating since 2000 and has expanded exponentially in those 21 years. We now have six distinct services that we offer including heating, insulation, sales and lettings, renewable technologies, build adaptations and new builds of luxury homes. We want to offer our services to assist more people that need our help covering England, Scotland and Wales from whatever property tenure whether it be an owner, occupier, private tenant and or landlord, social tenants, social housing providers and local authorities.
We have a team of 60 gas engineers that actively install first-time central heating, boilers and renewable energy systems. While we primarily deal with Government grant-funded work, we also happily look into those who are looking to have a job done privately. Broad Oak is a proud surveyor, supplier and installer of central heating and insulation utilising the ECO3 scheme. We don't outsource any of our work so you'll always be working with us. Find out more about first-time central heating and insulation here.
Broad Oak has always been at the forefront of installing renewable energy solutions into people's homes. We are able to fit efficient heat pumps, hydrogen boilers and solar panels. Broad Oak do it all! We'll take you through the process of what they are, how they work and which one would be right for you.

Absolute joke of a company. Taken on by Millbrook to do a disability conversion on our home, we were told the job would take 3 weeks. It took nearly 2 years. (Admittedly Covid had some blame there). We never signed off the work, because we were unhappy with the final results in the bathroom and the front door let in a ton of noise. But regardless it was signed off as complete.
Our bathroom stinks of mould and damp, and we have mushrooms growing. We had some check out under the bath, there's mould growth all over and air coming through a damaged brick which is leading to all manner of bugs living under the bath and then subsequently the bathroom too. We also had someone check the door. After removing the fascia of the door, it turns out that the bricks above it are not sealed in.
They're sitting loose. Furthermore 2 layers of bricks that should connect above the door to the porch are completely missing. No wonder it's so noisy, it's been turned into a bloody echo chamber. Awful company, with liars for managers. The secretaries, however, are lovely people and do their best.

The electrician turned up without an appointment. I was going to work. I should have turned him away. Work carried out but did not clean up the floor afterwards bits of wire and rubbish left for me to hoover up. Pretty fed up with the amount of people turning up without any communication your end or an appointment booked. Also no communication regarding the wire work being on the outside of the wall and not in the plaster.

As an elderly pensioner with medical problems, I am worried silly about the huge increases in energy costs. My loft has insufficient loose fill insulation and so I contacted Broad Oak for help and advice. I was asked by to get in touch and Sharon Rowe asked me to contact her with photographs of the loft and proof of my infirmities. I phoned her that same day but was told she was in a meeting.
I left my contact details as she had said this was urgent but, surprise, surprise, she has not bothered to get back to me at all after almost a week. Poor customer service that lets this family owned business down rather badly. Have since been contacted by Adam: he has gone out of his way to be helpful and pleasant.just wish he had been my first contact with Broadoak!

Standard of work has been awful. Called in to do a wet room. No tiles match on any side wall. Left with smashed tiles. Broke a perfectly working toilet flush. Left door frames un painted. Left a door half painted. Borges on the floor where they have put a new door frame in. The list goes on. Avoid this company with all costs.

Initially contacted by Broad Oak to install a central heating system as part of the Government Eco scheme, the response was excellent as my mother qualified for the full grant (guess they just wanted the money) the guys installing the system were friendly and efficient and overall did an excellent job or so I thought until a leak appeared a week later.
They were quick to send someone to fix the problem however they had to cut through the ceiling to repair the pipe saying that they would send someone to plaster the hole. I had no contact from them for several weeks so called to find out what was happening only to be told that they were not responsible as the leak occurred on an existing pipe, the only reason it leaked was that they applied mains pressure to it. My first reaction to this company was that it was really good and would have recommended it to anyone but now I wouldn't. Very disappointed.

* Update* Recieved a so called apology letter from the owner today. I've had a more sympathetic reply from the Tax office demanding final payment than what was worded. For what I have found out by other members of the public Wow, the mind boggles. * Don't get me wrong the workmen and their work was excellent alas it all started with the extremely rude member of staff that insulted myself and my dear old mum even before the work took place.
We did get a generical sorry when I complained, but they would not put it in writing. An absolutely disgusting attitude towards our vunerabke and elderly. Quoting 'put your mum in a home for 2 weeks so we can do our work'. Broad oak do hundreds of Wet rooms a year I was told. Booked in for a very long awaited and needed Wet room adaptation for mum in her own home through CC. Turns out we are not the only family to recieve this rude and uncaring attitude/words from this man.
Quote of staff who called 'He is a marmite kind of person'. I do not care, you do not speak to or about our parents or anyone parents in the job role you are in. Seems their values of at heart, respect, accountability mean nothing and are just words on a screen from certain members of staff. Insulting uncaring and disrespectful come to mind especially to the most vulnerable adults in society. The only blessing was Danny and his crew's work was excellent.

The service I received was fantastic! Paid a fraction of the cost through the eco scheme. Broad Oak dealt with everything. Within the week they fitted my new boiler which has made a massive difference. The plumber and the electrician that came were really friendly, came on time and were very tidy. The job they did was flawless so would highly recommend for a new boiler.

I applied for an Eco grant and sent a blank form accidentally. They didn't get back about it and it could have been sat there for ages. But after I chased it up and sent the completed form and supporting documents they made an appointment for a surveyor to turn up the next week, and work began the next day. I'm so pleased with their work. Best service I've had from a company for a long time. One company I contacted for a grant tried to rip me off 2000. They got my whole central heating system fully funded so 10 stars to them!
