This was the Sunday car boot sale we visited. A bit quiet with only a few stalls but we managed to bag a few bargains

Went to the Sunday car boot. 8.00 till 14.00 arrived at 11 but stalls had or was packing up!. They should advertise it as 8.00 till 12.00 so people don't have a wasted journey!

Went to the Sunday car boot for the first time since lockdown to find they had doubled the entrance fee. The only expenses incurred by them was some paper arrow signs indicating a one way system and a hand sanitisation dispenser which was empty I realise that these are hard times, but I feel they are taking advantage of the situation. I have attended the car boot for years but I will not be back to feed their greed I

Good place to buy from. Less good to sell at unless you are desperate to get rid of the goods then price raised less important. Friendly staff and fun experience seeing the auction but u can bid in advance on forms so removing the temptations to go just one bid higher which happens sometimes in person. Try it for the experience.

I was visiting Mitchell's as it was the location of Woolfest. Woolfest is an annual show highlighting all things fibre related. Plus it's a chance to purchase unique items. There are spinning, weaving, dyeing, knitting, crocheting, felting stalls, a silversmith making solid silver tools (I got a beautiful and practical crochet hook which is a joy to use) just to name a few of the activities covered.

It's flat so it's disabled friendly, there's lots of parking, lots of toilets and places to sit and rest weary feet. The food is available from the usual fare of pie and chips to salads and cakes all of it not over priced. The locally made ice-cream is a delicious treat every time we visit.
