These give an idea of the fluctuations that can occur and to highlight that the only way to get a true idea of the costs is to contact us for a comprehensive quote. Many factors determine the cost of a transaction, such as if the property is Leasehold, Freehold, New Build or Shared Ownership.

I don't like giving negative reviews however after having to endure this shambles of a company I was compelled to warn others to not make the same mistake. There was incompetence at every step of the way, from a lack of communication, telling my buyers one thing and my mortgage broker another, giving the wrong bank details not to mention closing the office early on numerous occasions so they became unreachable when it was vital we spoke to them.
The whole experience has been a nightmare and costly for us as well. The exchange and completion dates were not met despite knowing well in advance our intended dates. This meant we couldn't plan anything going forward and now we're essentially homeless while we wait to complete on my next property. If you're thinking about using this tin pot company, don't. If you see someone in your chain are using them i would also avoid like the plague.

Ridiculous, I wish I never wasted my time with this company. I was recommended by my mortgage broker so they can be in touch and get things done quickly, being told that they were "good". Honestly, I've never been so stressed in my entire life. The level of communication was ridiculous, I had to chase for updates, I had to try to take the matter into my own hands.
A simple re-mortgage (change of banks for a lower interest) was not done in 6 WHOLE MONTHS! They clearly didn't care enough about their clients. They were given 6 months + a 15 day grace period and still couldn't get the transaction through. Absolutely rubbish. I wasted so much money because of this company when the whole point of the re-mortgage was to prevent spending more money. Do not waste your time.

I am a financial adviser and have never felt the need to write a bad review before. Beaumont Legal undertake the practice of an 'opt-out' service for fraud restrictions when registering a new mortgage charge. Over the last few years, almost every person I know that used them to register the mortgage has been required to return to Beaumont to get it removed and pay additional fees.
Their opt out policy is at best misleading and clearly a way of generating more money for their company. They also make it extremely difficult to remove the restriction when the client contacts them. In the latest instance, a complaint was being made and immediately got through to their reception desk. After asking for the case handler, they were placed on hold for over 40 minutes.
At this point, a second phone was used to call and again they immediately got through to be told that the person the first call was still on hold to had left for a meeting. This was clearly a despicable tactic to waste someone's time when looking to get an issue resolved and i can't implore people enough to avoid this company at all costs.

A joke. We used Beaumont Legal/Legalzoom in 2019 for a purchase of a first time home and the process was riddled with issues then, with under qualified staff taking care of our case resulting in massive delays when actual qualified solicitors had to oversee every thing and often redo, but that is water under the bridge. We are now selling said first time home, a mere 3 years later, and are encountering tens of issues that SHOULD have been dealt with when we purchased in 2019. Missing documents that were never gathered from previous owners, resulting in me spending my own money to source documents or take out Indemnity Policies due to these documents not being available.
It's mounting up the amount I'm having to spend on missing things that Beaumont had a duty to supply to us, or charge previous owners for not having. It's an absolute joke how 3 years later this terrible firm is still costing me time, money and stress. DO NOT use this firm. It might seem 'easy' and cheap to go with them but trust me, you will still have a Beaumont Legal headache years later.

To keep things short these people nearly lost us our house and we had to battle them to the end. Our case handler LEFT the company and we were not told by ANYONE. So we were sending emails to a void inbox for weeks. No one had taken over and reached out. The pure stress and trauma caused by this company was disgusting. On the day we were moving they were putting us on hold and asking for details we had given 1000s of times all the while other solicitors in the chain were losing patients and threatening to pull the sale if they didn't see the money come through - Beaumont legal did nothing.
We came to 10 minutes before the sale was pulled by our upper chain before this company pulled their fingers out, but clearly this was just luck and we had to force the manager to prioritise us before we were homeless as our buyer had had their part of the sale approved. Formal complaint pending

I very rarely post reviews however I was so disappointed with the service I received from Beaumont Legal that I had to raise my concern. Beaumont black and white do their job according to their T&C's however I never felt that there was that human element from them, no understanding of your circumstances and no urgency in any of the work they completed.
The whole process in my opinion could have been dealt with a lot quicker. I wish I had read previous reviews before as they all sound similar to the treatment I received. I will not be using them again nor will I recommend them.

Terrible experience selling my property through Beaumont. Non existent communication, dates ran extremely late with no feedback. Asking for documents after the last minute and charging exorbitant "facilitation" fees which get added on. Even the calculations for settlement were wrong. Don't use. Don't use as part of Yopa tie up, it won't be cheaper than a competent independent solicitor. AWFUL!

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars. We sold two of our rental properties through Beaumont Legal. Both NO chain, one was a cash buyer. Took far longer than necessary to complete. They lost our ID and some other documents that we had to re send 6 months into the process. I was told that because the properties were under the threshold for the stamp duty exemption, they were a low priority and they were rushing other properties through.
We were told that the buyers' solicitors had failed to respond and we ended up basically chasing everything up with one buyer directly as our solicitor appeared to have no interest in actually completing. The best part was when we attempted to make a complaint. Our case handler immediately emailed and said he was working on our file and did we still need to speak to his boss.
On another occasion we asked to speak with his boss and were told that it would take up to 48hours and did we still want to bother to complain. I would avoid them at all costs

Absolute disgrace! Did everything wrong everyime. Even 2yrs later trying to get away from them with our mortgage they are creating problems. They will take any opportunity to add on as many charges as possible. THEY made a mistake on a document and then asked us to pay another 100 after to fix it. Seem to have no complaints policy and do not follow up on anything. Ever! Do not expect an apology from them. I genuinely do not know how they get away with it. Please take my advise and do not use them. 1st time buyers mistake and now nightmare.

We have just finalised a sale and our buyer was using Beaumont Legal. It has taken 7 months to complete a straightforward sale and our Solicitors and Estate Agents have chased them constantly with little or no response. It is very difficult to get through to the person that is actually handling the sale as they have 'gate keepers' who say they'll get someone to call back (which they don't) and no messages seem to be passed on.
The frustrations of everyone (including our buyer) got to the point where we nearly pulled the pin to start again. When it finally came to exchanging contracts and completing (which was to be the same day - at their suggestion) they had not advised the mortgage lender so it was delayed causing more stress. Would not recommend them from our experience we are just glad it is finally over. We have to wonder how they are still in business.
