Whether you're a first-time renter, relocating, moving in with your partner or need a bigger family home, Moginie James' Residency club offers something for all tenants. With Moginie James' No Deposit Option, tenants can opt to pay a small monthly fee in lieu of a deposit. In return, Moginie James will indemnify your property for up to 7 weeks' rent - that's more than the traditional deposit we usually take (usually monthly rental plus 100). In line with HM Government advice, it is strongly recommended that tenants have insurance cover in place when renting a property.

Having dealt with moginie James over 3+ years we have had numerous property managers, however the new manager Sam Guy is a cut above the rest! He is proactive! Supportive and gets the job done! All the staff we dealt with were professional, friendly, responsive and proactive in the marketing of the property. After two sales unfortunately fell through, a change of approach was suggested and this was effected promptly and generated fresh interest immediately. Initially it was suggested that we might benefit from using Lifetime Legal as the sales solicitor and with hindsight we would have gone directly to a local company.

Couldn't have asked for a smoother process! My partner and I recently went for a property managed by Karolina, and she couldn't have been more helpful. We live well outside the area and with hectic work schedules we found it difficult to make viewings so she offered alternatives to suit our needs which made it much less stressful than anticipated.
We were very eager waiting for our offer to be accepted or declined by the landlord and she updated us every step of the way- no being left in the dark whatsoever! Would highly recommend speaking to Moginie James when searching for your next home.

Moginie James have been nothing but professional and thorough from the first point of contact. Karolina Wabia got our offer accepted smoothly and sent all the necessary information promptly and responded quickly to any queries I had along the way. Cat Deeley who has been our main point of contact throughout the process, was very professional and made the experience as stress free as possible, providing everything we needed and also very responsive to any emails and calls. I usually don't post reviews unless for truly exceptional service. I found the the lettings team in Moginie James Cyncoed very responsive and professional. Abigail was exceptionally good and very professional. She called me when I and the landlord were happy to proceed with letting she asked me if I would like a physical viewing. She was very flexible with time as well as I was a little late for the viewing appointment, which was really kind of her. Overall it's been a pleasure dealing with Moginie James. I now know that if I buy a property in Cardiff then Moginie James are the ones who would be my first contact.

Avoid like the coronavirus The worst letting company in Cardiff bar none. Unprofessional, rude, utterly awful in every aspect of customer service. Without naming names, let's just say that since this company has been taken over by another company, standards have clearly dropped through the 1st floor ceiling, through the ground floor and are nestling horribly on the waste pipes in the cellar. I've used MJ on a few occasions for property let's in the past 10 years and to see what they have become is disappointing given they're a local company.
I have a friend who has rented from these cowboys (I say cowboys, it's disrespectful to cowboys) for the past 6 years and he has mentioned the numerous issues he's getting with them over the past 18 months. I'm sure many other tenants will relate to this and the following. MJ have a cheeky little system where they take your call, note it down on their system (Fix Flow) and tell you someone will be in touch. 2 days later, you'll not receive anything back so you'll call them. You'll discover on this 2nd call that there is no recording of your issue on their wonderful Fix Flow system, so they'll re register your issue and promise another call back. 2 days later, nothing.
So you'll call again. On this occasion, they may say they've contacted the landlord and awaiting a reply - there's nothing they can do until the landlord gets back. 2 days later still nothing. You call, they'll give you the same old jargon. Now this is as far as I'm concerned a fob off system until the tenant just goes away. I've had numerous unacceptable issues in the past year which I won't go in to detail (for the moment at least).
On each occasion I've gone down the same path of being fobbed off left right and centre until I eventually pay to fix the problem myself out of my own pocket. I could write a book on the problems I've encountered with this company. They need fixing from the top, down. Changes need to be implemented quick or they won't be around too much longer.
You can't run a sustainable company on terrible service. This company will have a rude awaking very soon, I have no doubt about it. Sort it MJ. You're fooling no one.
