Very good experience with Johnson Hewitt, I was new to the country and unfamiliar with the renting procedures and legal requirements. I found them to be very cooperative, accommodating and assistive in helping me find a place and working to my timeline & understanding when renting.

I have been renting a property for the past 3 years, managed by this agent. The staff is friendly, reliable and efficient. Reported issues are quickly dealt with. I would definitely recommend renting with this housing agent.

I have been using Adam and Glen for sales and rental properties in the Croydon area. In over ten years there have been very little problems. I would put this down to there professionalism and diligence before introducing any potential tenants. They are a helpful and friendly team, and I would happily recommend to friends and business acquaintances.

I have dealt with Johnson & Hewitt for 15 years now. As a landlord, I need to know that prospective tenants are trustworthy and credit worthy. I have found that both Adam and Glen go "the extra mile" to ensure that references are thoroughly checked and that my tenants are not going to adversely affect the other tenants. In 15 years this has never happened. Good luck maybe, I prefer to think it's good management.

Great service and reasonable fees. Johnson Hewitt sold our house in Addiscombe in 2019. The photos they took for the website were fantastic and we got our sale VERY quickly, at the asking price. Adam and Glen really know the Croydon area! They also are managing agents for our rental property In Purley and we've been extremely pleased with their hands-on approach and efficient admin and communication. It is so good to have reliable managing agents as we now live abroad.

Having used many estate agents over the years I found many over promising and under delivering. Working with Glen and Adam in Johnston Hewitt has been anything but that! They both have been a breath of fresh air. Excellent service, 100% proactive and always very efficient when I have requested or needed anything. They have been absolutely fantastic to deal with.

As tenants, you should be able to expect at the very least, A basic, honest service, however Johnson Hewitt offer neither. Upon the signing of our tenancy, they we keen to assure us that my partner, a student, was able to be added, however after all was signed and sealed, I was most disappointed to be told that she would not due to 'Insurance purposes' I would have accepted this, were it not for Glen accusing me of misleading him in our initial consultation.

This in turn has made it difficult for my partner to obtain any proofs of address for Banks, utilities and the council. In addition to this, they charged 200 for tenant referencing despite me already having sufficient funds to cover the tenancy period. Unprofessional company.

Johnson Hewitt handled the sale of my property in Croham Road competently and efficiently. Prior to that they had rented the property out for me for over 4 years - I chose JH because of a recommendation from a friend. They are honest people to deal with and a refreshing change from some of the agents in Croydon I have had dealings with in the past.

I've dealt with numerous estate agents in my time but these guys are the worst of the worst. Hours before I moved into my new flat they rang me to tell me about damp which was hidden when I went to view the property. They told me it would be sorted - 3 months later I moved out because they literally ignored my calls regarding the damp, then they charged me for moving out. Avoid at all costs.

This letting agents are landlord centric it seems and they have don't care attitude for the tenants. First they take all the admin fees upfront but do not commit on the property at all, the terms and conditions of the tenancy agreement are dictated by them andare not negociable. even the director of the company has no care attitude and never respond properly and is not interested at all to listen.

As a tenant you have to follow up on everything from referencing checks to moving in, to getting the keys and if you don't you are never sure if you will get the property or not and as you have given notice on previous property, you can litterly without a home to stay if things are not sorted, which by the way needs to be taken care by you and these agency don't care at all. Seriously pissed off by their nature and recommend to never do business with them.
