I bought my first house through Alwyne Estates. I worked mainly with Freddie who was amazing from start to finish. I was under quite a bit of time pressure but we managed to get it all completed in time. Freddie was very responsive and explained the process very clearly and helped with every step. His other colleagues were also very useful and assisted well when Freddie was on leave. I have never worked with a better agency!

I've just purchased a home via Alwyne Estates. Freddie has been really great throughtout the whole process - from viewing the place, making an offer, getting the solicitors to do their part and organise for the old furniture to be removed from the flat before I received the keys. Alwyne Estates are superb! Rightly or wrongly Estate Agents have a reputation that is not usually held in the highest regard. Having done business with various estate agents over the years, and especially with one more recently, they have been a range of unpleasant to horrific experiences. I lived in a property let out by Alwyne for a year and it was a surprisingly great experience, especially compared to our previous managing agents. Every time something went wrong or we needed something fixed or dealt with Alwyne were quick to respond and send plumbers or follow up with an issue. Freddie, Jack, Chris and Emily dealt with everything super professionally - they also know the area very well and are honest and transparent about what to expect.

I rented a place from Alwyne Real Estate. They were, truly, the landlord from h*ll. Let me give you a short summary of what happened to us in the six months we lived in one of their places: -it has rained bricks on the walk up when part of the roof came down -the downstairs neighbour's ceiling collapsed after our washing machine sprung a leak -the shower started leaking.

The landlord send in a team of junkies (yes, really) to repair it. They screwed it up three times over the course of three months. The shower is still leaking -the toilet started leaking into the downstairs neighbour's house, meaning they had sewage dripping from the ceiling in their bedroom. -we found live wires dangling out in the bedroom -the roof started leaking.right next to the circuit breaker box -we had glass tiles in the shower break up with predictable, and bloody, results As I write this we cannot use the shower, the toilet or even have a drink because a pipe has sprung and waste water ends up down in the neighbours place. Alwyne have refused to set us up elsewhere, even though this place is well uninhabitable. We paid them a 1000 pound deposit and commission, so if we leave it will cost us a lot of money. Dont do business with these people!
