This is by far the worst estate agents I have come across in my life. They are completely incompetent, negligent and they do not have a single ounce of customer care within the whole agency. I dealt with Darren Bolton and Eleanor Gregory and it was single-handedly the worst experience I have ever had in my life. They are not at all reliable. They cancelled mere hours before completion/keys were meant to be collected for no apparent reason.

They gave no notice, showed no remorse and were extremely rude. I would urge any individuals/developers/property owners to rethink and refrain from using this company. There are agents miles better with much better customer service and reliability in my opinion. They do not respond to emails, if they do expect to have wait days, they do not answer their phone.

I lodged my complaint with a senior member who said she would get back to me COB the next day and I heard nothing which pretty much sums up this agency. Their customer reviews says it all - plenty of people have had the same experiences. Tragic excuse for a real estate agents. If you've had any issues in the past or recently, make it a point to report them to the property ombudsman. Otherwise, they will continue to treat people badly and get away with it.

Unprofessional agent to deal with. Was interested to rent a property but had to catch a flight, so could not attend the viewing in person in the afternoon. We went to view the surroundings before we catch our flight and we really liked it. Contacted the agent but was told they cannot accept my offer prior to viewing the property and was told they would send a walk through video in the afternoon then I can make the offer. Did not get the video as advised yesterday, so I sent in a request again last evening and only then did I receive the video the next morning.

I contacted the agent back to put an offer but was told there was an offer already accepted yesterday and a deposit was already made this morning. So it was all a waste of time for me, going around to see the neighbourhood and we were so close to miss our flight. The whole process was not fair and the video was just an eyewash. In short I stood no chance to put an offer as I was never considered a potential tenant. No wonder why their review is poor on Google. Would not deal with them again.

Darren was amazing, friendly and helpful in securing our apartment through the documentation process as well as my property manager, Kelly who ensured we were comfortable and like our new apartment, cheers.

What a fantastic agent & property manager! >> Professional, trusted, thorough, understanding & went the extra mile. Right from the very first contact, everyone at Julie Twist has been superb in helping oversee the refurbishment of a property and then almost instantly finding a new tenant. Thank you to those involved, especially Sian, Stacie and especially my new bessie mate *Dave Lockwood* top man, attention to detail unrivalled.

Paul of Julie Twist's sales team had been absolutely amazing during the whole conveyancing process by being efficient, professional and responsive. That definitely helped speed up the process. Great services!

They entered in my flat without calling or sending any text before, once using keys. Ignored every lack of the house, broken windows, broken doorbell, broken ventilation. they reclaim the billing account once i left the flat and ignored me when i asked for the last meter reading. Really an unbelieably bad service.

I recently rented an apartment through Julie Twist. I will say that the initial experience of finding the property and documentation was handled quite well by Sian however it has been severe disappointment since. I moved into the property on the 21st of July, and nearly 2 months on, my bedroom still does not have a door handle (which is a privacy issue and frankly very poor form), half the lights don't work, the chair in the balcony is still broken and various other jobs haven't been sorted, all of which were highlighted even in the inventory report, prior to my move.

What's worse is, I stayed at home one day because I was told someone would attend and fix on the day, but the person attended and told me he needed various approvals before he could do anything. Not only did I waste an afternoon of work (I don't work from home) but I was sold a false promise. I've been e-mailing almost on a weekly basis since I've moved in, mostly to Yvonne who has now stopped replying to my e-mails completely, after I asked for her to put me through to her manager.

This has given me a considerable degree of stress. I am not in a habit of writing these and I work a busy job in the NHS. My home is a place of refuge but at present it just seems like a place that is giving me stress. I am thoroughly disappointed. I have gone from being in a position where I would recommend JT to all my friends to not wanting to deal with them again. What a disgrace.

Because yesterday you treated us like dump, today we had to walk in all letting agencies in Manchester to avoid to be homeless after you change your mind, letting us know in the late afternoon, one day before our moving, that you regreted and are no longer in the position of renting us a property (of course after all the referencing done and approved as you stated "all is now accepted" ).

I don't know what happened but perhaps it was the same old I have been reading about you: "miscommunication with landlords and duplicated tenants for the same flat". Because we had to do that journey today, because we had to explain how and why we lost the property in the afternoon before the moving date, and because we are sure we are not crazy yet and it was stated on our first exchange email our conditions that you rejected on the last minute.

We had to make sure we shown the emails to every single agent we spoke in every single agency in this city. It was unanimously agreed that by "Thanks Rita, all is now accepted. My colleague will be in touch to organise the move in for you in due course (likely to be Monday to finalise everything)" we can understand "ready for your moving". But apparently the meaning is not the same for you.

It was also unanimously agreed that what you did wasn't illegal but immoral, antiethic and inhumane, that socially and can be even worst, specially for a company. Thank God, Goodwin Fish saved our backs and cleaned up your mess. If I was a business Manager in Julie Twist, I would close down the door and bury my head in the ground as an Ostrich. Thank you so much Goodwin Fish and all the other agencies that were ready to help!

A very unpleasant experience! I have called this agency regarding a property for rent that was listed only 4 days ago, on a Saturday. I immediately was told off by the agent (Mr. Phil bernado) saying that 4 offers (only) have been presented to the land lord and he is no longer taking offers although the property is only available after a month! I did politely remind him that since there is alot time left and hence a decision has not been made or contract signed, I would like to view it ASAP and make an offer that will match the asking price, he had the audacity to tell me that he will then book a viewing in 5 days but he will call me on the morning of that day and cancel! Wth?

I even said that I will forgo the viewing (given the limitations he has set) and make an offer on the spot for the asking price, and asked him to bring that offer to landlord, but he still went on to say that still won't work! I thought he is obliged to bring offers to the landlord for him to make an informed decision that is ultimately to his benefit. Instead he was nothing short of being street rude, unpleasant, unprofessional and certainly shady! Not the kind of establishment that I would recommend to anyone!

An absolute joke of an estate agents. I moved into my flat in the centre of Manchester on the 26th of July and there are so many problems with it - Aircon doesn't work and all windows are sealed closed as it's a bottom floor flat we are in the middle of a heatwave it's unbearable. The lack of any fresh or cool air is causing my clothes to smell of damp once they have been hung up to dry. BLOOD stain on mattress Moths in wardrobes, still living out of suitcases a month in Rust in microwave Dishwasher broke Toilet faulty All door handles falling off Faulty plug socket in kitchen. Lights not working in living room (found this problem when looking round the flat and was ensured they'd be fixed before moving in).

On the day I received the keys, the person who gave me they keys informed me this was fixed and when I arrived at the flat I found this to not be the case. Half the spotlights not working despite the contract saying all lights must be in working order when moving out Unsightly plastic hooks left by previous tenant all over walls I wasn't even aware of all these problems myself until the estate agents give me the list, so clearly they are well aware of these problems but are doing nothing to fix them!

The only thing that has been fixed is the dishwasher, I've rang multiple times and even been down to the office, where my agent Yvonne ensured me she'd make sure everything would be fixed promptly, four weeks later nothing! An absolute joke especially when paying such high high rent you expect better I really regret signing this contract! Updates regarding any of the fixes are non-existent, no deadline or timeframe provided to me by the estate agents.

Last time I contacted the estate agents on Saturday 17/7/21 I was assured I would get a call back regarding an update by monday, at the time of this review I am still yet to receive any update. I do not appreciate being told that thing are going to be sorted and then nothing being done. Especially after the large sum of money I have already paid to them. WHEN THE ABOVE PROBLEMS ARE FIXED I WILL EDIT THIS REVIEW BUT UNTIL THEN I URGE EVERYBODY TO NOT RENT WITH THIS APPALLING ESTATE AGENTS!

There were a few important amendments that were required after moving in to the new property which Kelly quickly sorted and got done for me which I really appreciate that it wasn't ignored or left with dragged feet. Quick communication and the maintenance man Tony who was sent to do the jobs was a friendly, hardworking guy who did a fantastic job and is a credit to his team. Thank you all for staying on top of these jobs unlike many other letting agents.

Beyond terrible customer service. I booked a viewing and received both SMS and email confirmation. I waited at the property at the arranged time but no one arrived. After 10 minutes I called and was told that they didn't have any record of my information but it would be passed on to the rentals team and they would call me back. After 50 minutes I still hadn't received a call so I called again and once again I was told they didn't have my details and was I sure I was calling the right place!

I said I had two confirmations. The agent apologised but couldn't fit me in today. I asked about waiting for 50 minutes for a call back only to be told that they are busy and can't call everyone back!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Dave from the maintenance team for all his hard work over the last three days. I had a quote from JT Properties to remove and replace flooring in my living room, hallway and utility room. Absolutely amazing service and professionalism. Cheaper too. So glad that I made the choice and I am already lining more work up for them!

Today, I was crossing the road in Princess Street on a pedestrian crosswalk when a car from JT Agency ran into me whilst I beeping loudly for me to move. I was carrying heavy bags and had to quickly run away from the car even though I had priority. The street was empty and there was no need for the angry driver to scare me in that way - specially since it was stationary right before it decided to accelerate towards me.

I am looking to rent a property in the city centre and luckily for me I can avoid Julie Twist from now on and save myself from dealing with agents that behave in such an unprofessional way.

Extremely unprofessional. Booked 3 viewings and didn't get to see one of the properties. Rang up to confirm each viewing and was told to meet at the property, no one showed up: " There seems to have been a misunderstanding" same answer everytime I rang up. My friend then managed to book a viewing and I went along. The Julie Twist guy at the property didn't even ask our names and let us in. We could have just been anyone. I would not trust or use this estate agent. Too incompetent for words.

Fur coat and no knickers! Today I decided to speak to some estate agents about getting a valuation on my apartment and find out the rates of commission they are charging in the tough economic climate. I went into JT new posh office on Deansgate for my first call; this is how it went from my point of view. I looked in the window and then entered through the doors, it is dead, dead in the fact is has no warmth, energy, atmosphere and feels anything but welcoming.

Several empty desks faced me, one with a lady sat at it, with a sign saying lettings, as I was not letting I looked to the right, (the lady looked up at me as if I was in the wrong place, a hello would have been nice) walking to another void space on the right, with more empty desks, and a lady behind one that said sales, so I approached her. I said I had 2 questions, and asked about getting a valuation for my apartment, and what commission they charged to sell one.

I was told, it was 2% commission The man (Tom) who does valuations is away this week. I pushed for a little more, telling her where I lived, she seemed unable or unhappy to help, but started searching her PC for prices, she found one, and advised me of its price, (she had not asked what my property was? The one she quoted was a different type of property to mine), she continued searching, I felt awkward and wanted to leave, she asked a lady behind me who was on the phone, she quoted a quick figure some 50k less that my property is worth and went back to her call.

Eventually I decided it better to leave as I felt I was not welcome, and they did not want the business, did not know what they were talking about, I was not even offered a seat! I left my card and was told someone would contact me. I then went next door to SG properties and the service was 1000% better, they seemed to want to help, knew what they were talking about, discussed a reduction in the commission fee and actually wanted and seemed keen to sell my property.

What is the point in any business having fancy offices if the service/office is cold and unwelcoming? A Library has more warmth and energy. I remember Julie Twist from when she worked at Jones Maidment Wilson estate agents before she set up on her own, she would never have given service like this. As they say all Fur coat and no Knickers!

I rent my flat from Julie Twist, and I must say we've had no problems at all. When looking for a place they showed us round several lovely apartments, and seemed to have much more than did most of the estate agents on Deansgate we visited. They also didn't try and show us places that we'd already told them we couldn't afford or didn't like the location, unlike many others.

I think as they're just an agent, they have to get permission from the individual landlord of each property before they can do anything with regards to maintenance (this happened recently with some heating issues). So if you've had/heard of bad experiences its probably more to do with the individual landlord than old Julez T. They assign you a specific property manager as well so you've got someone to call or email about issues, and its certainly worked for us. They've also got a couple of absolute fitties working there so if you're passing by, you may consider looking at the windows to erm, check if there's any good properties on offer. Basically theres nothing an estate agent can do to get 5 stars, but Julie T is a legend.
