We were buyers for a property in Eastbourne. The two people who showed us round were polite, knowledgeable and professional. Once we had an offer accepted, the purchase was managed by Darren. The service received was appalling. We were 7 weeks into the purchase and receiving phone calls 3 times a week demanding updates in a rude manner. They invented a completion date with the buyer that we did not agree to and was not communicated via the solicitors.

We were accused of 'messing the seller around' when we booked a survey and told that this was totally unexpected as many don't get a survey. They told us the sale was at risk as a result and put pressure on us to cancel our booked survey and go with a company recommended by the seller. They then expected us to exchange before reading the survey and told us we were aggravating the seller when we refused. The survey itself highlighted multiple defects and the sale fell through. Felt insulted, pressured and poorly treated throughout.

When we offered an asking price they tried to do a dutch auction, to get higher prices, i ran away as fast as I could when I smelt a rat

We used E&T for the sale of a flat in Eastbourne. The team were really great-clear, professional and on the ball. they kept a close eye on proceedings and helped us to secure a successful sale, with great patience and humour. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Do not trust this agent, especially with your keys! They lied about our buyers statuses and this then cost us in solicitors fees. They also let our prospective buyers pull up flooring and take off our chimney breast covering. After telling them not to use the keys in future they still did for themselves and handing them out to third parties too. Feel totally violated with the way they behaved. Beware
